It was very nice, just very cold in Douglas.
Amanda received us very hospitably and took very good care of us. The room was stylish, immaculately clean and tidy and had everything a weary traveler would need. We can recommend the guest house with great confidence.

We had a great time relaxing outside by the pool and braai area in the afternoon and well rested in a very nice and tidy room. Everyone was very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Our hostess made us feel very much at home and talked to us as if we had known each other for years. Due to a technical issue, we were informed in advance that we would have to use another room, which was actually an upgrade, at no extra cost. We did not make use of other facilities available, only because we just wanted to rest after the long journey. Meals can be booked at extra costs which are optional or you can make use of braai facilities, then just bring your own food.
Value for money. Great customer service. Even the 2 house cats receive you kindly and drop in often. Everything one needs. Even the golf course and restaurant in town are remarkable.
The stay was extremely pleasant as we were met with homely greetings and smiles. The accommodation is modernised and a lot bigger than it looks in the images , the parking is safe behind a locked gate and parking under shaded roof.

Amanda is friendly and warm. A wonderful hostess. The guest house speaks of a lot of care and effort that has been put into it. The location surprised me because the place is in town but it was dead quiet. The room was clean and tidy and felt like home. That bathroom was beautiful, the bed slept well and the air conditioner did its job. I am really impressed and if I ever have to travel through Douglas again it will be my first choice.

Our room was unfortunately at the back of the house, and did not have direct access to the beautiful garden and pool. It was more expensive than what we paid for similar accommodation in other towns during our 2 week tour.

Estelle was a great host made us feel at home. The place was very clean and our rooms were cleaned everyday. Very helpful telling us where all the shops etc are. Breakfast was great. We really received the best treatment from Estelle and all staff there. Would use this guest house each time we travel to Douglas. Well done La Rose.
