9 guests' feedbackLagoon Beach 136 has a beautiful view of the sea. It's very neat and the apartment is in excellent condition and well located. Very safe and we were not uneasy for a moment when our daughter sat down in the lounge, which is located on the hotel's side. There is delicious food and we enjoyed the visits there just as much. We will definitely stay there again in the future and I can recommend it to anyone.
The master bed disappointed me with lots of creaking noise when you turn while you are sleeping. It's so irritating.
The location, welcome from staff and setting was fantastic. And as so few places with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was perfect for our visit. But the place is needing TLC however when we reported some issues we had they were handled quickly and professionally.
When it comes to the deposit to be refunded, they have a list of things that are no longer there, things like wire hangers and a wooden board. What is deducted from your deposit. You have to hand me the pure white towels back looking like this, if there is a mark on them they deduct money from that too. Let the guests know to take their own towels instead. Otherwise it's a very nice place and would definitely recommend it.
It's easier to be released on parole than to clock in at this facility! Firstly, the entire check-in process was spoiled because we were first sent from port to starboard. Finally when we learned that the agent was already at the unit, we first had to download an "app" on our phone. It wasn't optional, we had to. We haven't looked at the "app" once since downloading it, but we had to download it. Then photos are taken of everything in the unit, including our ID documents etc. As if we were crooks. And last but not least we had to pay a breakage deposit of R1000, which will probably be paid back to us within 7 to 14 days.

The lady who checked us in was friendly and explained everything well. Accommodation was wonderful and environment is peaceful. Apartment was very neat and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. In apartment block there were two swimming pools, one downstairs and one upstairs at spa which unfortunately we didn't use, but could see that they were well maintained. Portal area is stylishly furnished and security was friendly and helpful. Covered parking is large and there is a security officer who sits there to control traffic in and out. All I would suggest is that there are two bedrooms that both have double beds which makes it difficult with two teenagers, instead two single beds can be put in the one bedroom.
Nothing special, everything one would need for a 2 week stay. Unfortunately no daily cleaning service (optional at R300 a day Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays). We expected (based on the pictures and descriptions) that the swimming pool and beach would be easily accessible and close to the unit, but unfortunately it is quite a mission to reach either one if you want to spend a lot of time there. The one drawer in the fridge is broken and the iron needs to be replaced (as well as the fabric on the ironing board). There is no aircon, and there were a few hot days which made it uncomfortable in the flat, especially since it gets direct sun til sunset (luckily there is a fan).

House rules
A standard key & breakage deposit is due before or at check-in. The holding amount depends on the length of stay and the standard of the apartment and may be changed at the owner’s / management’s discretion.The holding deposit is completed through a secure link with a credit card. This is merely a hold on the amount and released within 14 days after checkout if no claims were reported. If no credit card is available for the holding deposit, the deposit is payable via EFT but needs to bank and reflect in our account before arrival. We will then request a bank confirmation letter to process the refund back to the guest's account.
If none of the two options above was actioned a refundable cash/debit card payment must be made before check-in can be completed and there would be a min fee of R150 applicable for the processing of the refund back to your account. No cash refunds will be allowed.
No keys will be handed over without the above.
