Very nice stay. Ceiling fan was faulty, sliding door lock was faulty, front door lock was faulty, no soap in bathrooms. Bedside lamp works with 2 prong wall plug but none available.
Before I made my reservation, I asked if the problems previous travelers had had been sorted out. I am sure that there are no problems. When we arrived, the front door lock wouldn't work, and I specifically asked for it. We struggled with the door for the whole 2 days, couldn't get it open or closed without a struggle. The mattresses are old and outdated, and should have been replaced a long time ago. The whole apartment needs an upgrade, everything is old and worn, and the apartment is anything but neat and clean. I am very disappointed, especially since I checked, and still the problems were not sorted out as I was told.
Lagoon Beach is not what we expected. It's quite far away from all the Cape activities. Loadshedding was extremely bad and we felt somewhat unsafe walking in the corridors to the unit while it was thundering. The house inside must also provide for loadshedding, 2 lights are not sufficient.
I confirmed my book-in time as 14h00 on 2 occasions. Book-in time was also 14h00 on booking form. Nobody there to assist me at 14h00. Phoned numerous people and only got keys at 15h15. Room was not prepared and balcony was dirty. White tiles were not cleaned and my feet were dirty and black within 10 minutes of walking around. I had to pay a taxi to fetch people at the airport as I was waiting for the keys and could not go to the airport. No compensation was offered.
Good location. Albert our host was the best ever.
Lagoon Beach 202 has a good location, neat and equipped. We will definitely go again.
I enjoyed everything. The building is very quiet and a lot better than a hotel. The Paddocks Shopping Centre is close and has everything you need.
Lovely, clean, neat, value for money.
