Absolutely wonderful! The hostess was very welcoming and warm. The facilities were lovely and clean with everything needed for self-catering. I did not want to leave and next time I will certainly book myself in for much longer. I loved the well-tended garden. The love was almost tangible. Also, the wildlife and scenery were breathtaking.

We urgently had to change our plans and travel earlier and without any problems the owner adjusted everything and sorted out and adjusted our accommodation problems. The unit is wonderfully located and very nice and tidy. We will definitely stay here again.

Both the owners and people in the village are very friendly. We shopped at the Spar in Kei Mouth village. The owners of the Spar even paid for and collected medicine for us in East London.

The owners are very friendly and hospitable. Our children especially enjoyed the garden. We would definitely recommend Lagoon View and look forward to staying there again one day.

This was the highlight of our entire holiday. There was great fishing opportunity and opportunity to learn to kayak (canoe). We had such a nice stay, great value for money!

We can recommend the accommodation, but perhaps the stairs down to the unit may be a problem for some elderly. Above all we enjoyed the privacy and silence very much.

A lot to do, fishing, horse rides. Remember a kite if the wind allows - a lot of fun. Plenty to see and do if you are an outdoor person. If you want to relax, just stay inside, read, watch a movie and braai! We loved it, would stay a week if we had the time!

We enjoyed our stay here, even if it was just a quick stopover on the way to Cape Town. We rowed on the lake upon our arrival and again in the early morning.
The apartment is very neat and we didn't lack anything during our 2 day stay. Although our hostess could not receive us due to unexpected circumstances, her husband received us kindly and made sure that we lacked nothing to make our time there pleasant. The tranquility and the view over the lagoon was soothing for the soul.

Lagoon View is perfectly positioned overlooking the lagoon, and an easy stroll from the Morgan's Bay beach. From the deck you can watch a pair of fish eagles going about their daily business, flocks of kingfishers and cormorants fishing in the lagoon, as well as a rich variety of other bird life. A large bag of wood was provided for free, and the braai was put to good use.

Among the 14 places visited in the month, this one definitely ranks among the top 3. The host Johnny made us feel at home immediately, and even helped us carry our luggage in! He also immediately arranged a doctor for my wife (fortunately nothing serious) in a totally strange place for us. The place was very clean, and the location on the river indescribable. Nicest shower I've had all month, with water pressure as it should be! The room is also very modern and comfortably laid out, with full DStv, not just 6 or so channels. Would fully recommend Lagoon View anytime.

Lovely, peaceful and tidy stay!
At first we did arrive much later than we expected but was met by the super friendly owners. The road our navigator took us through was rugged 4x4 terrain, but once we entered our unit, our entire family was super delighted. Place was much more impressive than we expected. Owners went out of their way to accommodate us, and even lent us canoes. We will be back in a much bigger group. 5 stars through and through.

We had informed Alida that we would be arriving late due to horrific roadworks on the N2 and she commented they would be waiting for us and to travel safely. When we finally arrived, we received a very warm welcome and were shown the unit. It was spotless and very comfortable. Tea, coffee and sugar were available. The view from the deck is as beautiful as the web pictures and it was beautifully quiet - just what we needed to recharge our batteries. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We cannot thank Alida and Johnny enough for the wonderful stay we had. We were very tempted just to stay on the deck and contemplate the lagoon. We would love to return when we can.

After our terrible experience through Transkei, we were warmly welcomed when we arrived at Lagoon View. Plekkie is beautifully furnished with more than we expected. Can't really rule anything out, because what you see on the web is what the owners offer. Thank you that there are still such honest and considerate persons.
We were friendly received and felt at home immediately. Beautiful deck with braai, and wood was provided as well as milk, coffee, tea and sugar in the kitchen!
We were satisfied with everything at Lagoon View. The TV was a bonus as was the washing machine and extras such as coffee, tea and sugar! And braai wood! And the use of their canoes on the lagoon. Owners Johnny and Alida Erlank are very hospitable and helpful. Truly a self-catering that we would highly recommend to our friends and family.

I was disappointed in this unit. It shows a beautiful view, which it was, but the bedroom especially was very small, accessible through the bathroom and very small and dingy. You also had to walk down a steep slope to reach the unit, not practical for the elderly or small kids.
