We had a great time staying and visiting. We will definitely go here again. There should be a lock or something on the back door where the slider is, and the bathrooms are very small.

Well equipped for self catering.
The place's photos are deceiving. The house was dirty and the glasses and plates in the cupboards were dirty. The walls had blood stains on them from all the mosquitoes that had been killed and it just wasn't cleaned. The front door handle didn't work, so when you close the door you have to lock it so the door can stay closed. Back door must also be locked to stay closed. I would not recommend the place to anyone, it's dirty and not value for money at all. All the things that people complained about the place in the reviews are still exactly the same and nothing has been changed or improved. There were no sharp knives, one had to go and buy them.
Everything you need and more to enjoy your holiday. It's a great place to visit and stay.

Unfortunately, there were a lot of buildings next door which made quite a lot of noise at times. The place needs some TLC. There was no provision made for load shedding. Luckily we packed our rechargeable lantern.
Unit needs some attention here and there. And a nice cleaning, inside and around the house. But for this price, very good. Very nice stay.

The house can be nice, it just needs an upgrade. The mattress is already worn and the couch is dirty. The roof is very low and the bathrooms terribly small.
The stairs to the front door are highly inconvenient and I think it should be said in advance that it will not be convenient for elderly or short people. The sink in the kitchen was dirty, specifically the taps and behind the taps. The washing up sponge was full of grease and old food. the one toilet's flush hand wash was very stiff and the second toilet did not flush properly at all, the toilet's seat was also completely crooked. The sink there was not clean either. There was no sign of compliance with COVID-19 standards. It was very dusty on all surfaces and also the floor, so it appeared as if the place had not been cleaned beforehand. Sheets do not fit the beds properly, curtains drag on the floor and are dangerous, the curtain in front of the door is far too small and leaves no privacy. It was not value for money.

Nice place located in a nice safe and quiet as well as luxurious neighborhood. Our family thoroughly enjoyed it. Helena-Marie is an excellent host who made us feel welcome from day one. Will definitely visit here again. The place provides everything you need. The bikes, washing machine and freezer and so much more were a big plus for the small amount. The Lagoonette offers you everything so you could travel really light from the Cape. Thank you Helena-Marie ─ my wife loves me more than ever thanks to the cozy place.

I can definitely recommend staying in Lagoonette for a family looking to relax near the sea and lagoon.
Just a pity that the location is wrong on the website and the GPS coordinates you give do not take you to Lagoonette. Very safe for family with children, we had a great stay.
Safe for kids, quiet area, yet near the bustle of Hartenbos.
Thanks to Helena-Marie for a great few days, we really enjoyed it. The backyard is extra nice for socialising with family and braai in the evenings. The hammock was a hit with my wife and the kids.
This is a comfortable unit with lots of potential. Suitable for 2 couples and 2 small kids. Cupboards need some maintenance and organisation. The unit is called "Lagoonette" but there is no name displayed, only a number (126). So, clear directions required.
The place is located in a quiet area and is walking distance from the beach. The cottage is equipped with all the essentials and we enjoyed it. All that could possibly be added are fans in the rooms, especially in the heat.

The location is excellent and the unit is big enough for our needs, me and my son. However, the furniture is old and the lounge set is very uncomfortable and could definitely be replaced. Nice new fridge, but won't turn off. Was very impressed with extras, bikes, dart board etc.
The stay there was very pleasant, maybe a few things could be done so that the stay would be even better, but I would still recommend it and it is value for money.

This is a very comfortable holiday home. Safe and close to everything. So home away from home feeling. The hammock under the tree is a hit. I didn't see the bikes the ad mentioned but we didn't inquire about them. Everything you need and very clean and tidy. The pet ducks are cute and the houses which are partitioned off with entrance gate make it really very safe.
We had a wonderful time at Lagoonette in Hartenbos, Helena is really friendly and helpful, we will visit again in future.
