Excellent and friendly service! Very nice accommodation, exactly as indicated on the website.
Good sleep is great. The reception at the accommodation was very good. The self helps unity. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to sleep in Laingsburg. I will definitely go there again.

It's basically, on the website it says there are braai facilities, but there is no braai bowl, tongs etc. not. The ashtray was in the unit and the unit smelled of smoke so I put the ashtray outside.
The building is modern and well appointed, but the room is much smaller than the others on the trip. The breakfast offered is excellent.
Our first room was small but clean and comfortable, our second room a full self-catering unit but the unit's chairs are dirty and look neglected. Other guests can also be very active, going back and forth in one's room and having an influence on one's privacy.
Children had fun swimming. Breakfast was very good. Bedroom for 4 people very comfortable.
One coffee mug for 2 people. The linen was horrific. The pillows were so dirty they actually stank.

The room where we slept was not in the lodge itself as shown in the photos, but a little way down the street in another house, which borders on a field. The room was clean, with secure parking, but expensive for what it is. The service at the lodge itself was friendly and especially the breakfast was well served and a very nice experience. The photo of the lodge itself in the post is misleading. It only shows the door at the room's entrance and creates the impression that it is located in the lodge itself.
We checked in online but upon arrival were asked to fill out forms which I declined. We had already paid on booking but were asked to pay on arrival. Which of course I refused. We are not housed in the main building but down the street. We had to struggle to find the place ourselves. Room was very neat and clean but very cramped. Mirror in bathroom is hopelessly too high for the normal height person.
It was almost twice the price of my other stays in the Karoo towns.
After a long drive you want to sit outside in a neat garden. They do not have such facilities. Also feel their contracted long-term visitors create financially stable income, day visitors are a hassle.
Laings Lodge is very conveniently situated in Laingsburg. However, it is completely overpriced for what you get. As a comparison, Drotsky Hotel in Graaff Reinet, which is a 4-star hotel, cost the same but was vastly superior in what they had to offer.
Room small and cramped, WiFi does not work and is addressed slowly.
We were satisfied with the room and the general condition of the buildings and premises which were very tidy. There was just no WiFi in the room we slept in (outside the main building) even though the ad says there is WiFi. However, what really bothers me is the price which in my opinion is too high for what you get. We paid R1500 per night for two people (including a very basic breakfast). We stayed in Matjiesfontein the next day for R950 per night for two people which included an excellent hotel quality breakfast with many choices. Next time I will look earlier for accommodation in Laingsburg and Laings Lodge will not be one of my choices.
Exorbitant price, dirty grills and grills and grilling area. Swimming pool green, general feeling of neglect. Please pass by, you will be disappointed.
We were housed in Annex 2, which was described as a "self-care unit". However, it seems too small to have one single chair. The blinds were crooked. One bedside light did not work. The sink plug was leaking - I had to fill in water three (3) times to shave and on top of that the water drains out very slowly, if you push the plug so the water should drain out. I don't think the rating agent who awarded the Lodge three (3) stars also rated the so-called annex. Compared to other self-catering units in the Karoo, the cost for one night's stay was somewhat ambitious!
We received a hearty welcome on arrival. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

Situated in a charming street with a number of well-preserved old houses. An easy walk to the Laingsburg Flood Museum. There is free entry to the museum.

Laingsburg Lode was beautifully, neatly and very comfortably furnished. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there was load shedding while we were there, so a generator would have been handy, but it didn't really bother, and there was a flashlight available in the room. Our car was locked behind a gate so it was very secure. We had a great stay, and will definitely stay there again on our way to the West Coast.

There is not much more you can expect from a 3-star hotel in a small town. In terms of your other options, Laings Lodge is one of the best. My only concern was safety with the room gate and door being the only protection between you and an open street. Furthermore, the customer service was very good and the breakfast reasonable. If I have to stay overnight again I will definitely use Laings Lodge again
The weekend started well, the place we stayed in was lovely, but there was only one dark cloud. We sat without water all day and had to make inquiries on our own regarding the problem. We were informed that the water had been turned off by the municipality for a period of time and the management could not inform us when it would resume. It was an awkward situation because we came from the road and had children who needed to bathe. What upset me was not the fact that there was no water, but that we were not informed about it and that we had to find out what was going on ourselves, also because the management took a "never mind" attitude when we inquired do about it. Despite the waterless situation, we still had a good time and the children enjoyed the pool.

Clean safe accommodation with friendly service. Rooms are air-conditioned with quality beds for a good night's rest. I neglected to load my shirts and the manager of the guest house went out of her way to help me get them in Stellenbosch. Would recommend to travelers visiting Laingsburg.

The accommodation was neat and clean. There was a problem with my father's room but was sorted by them and we were refunded. What was bad is that we chose the specific lodge because there was a swimming pool and restaurant advertised on the website, but we couldn't enjoy either! We had to buy Steers at the petrol station which was extremely disappointing for us!
