TV channels are very bad.
The location is ideally situated along the N1 highway and makes it very accessible. Because I taught the subject Hospitality industry as part of Business Studies, I am very critical. This place has an old world charm with beautiful and well-kept gardens. There is an interesting museum that needs to be queried at the reception. The spacious unit, The Stables Luxury Rooms Room 25, was ready and tidy. However, we were under the wrong impression (due to our own misinterpretation or distraction) that these Luxury Rooms are self-catering units and then had to discover that our unit does not include a small kitchenette, but the owner, Inga, met our requirements by making the sharing kitchen available to us, although it was unfortunately only the second day of our two-day stay. However, what bothered a little was the chicken rooster, which quite loud and persistent on both mornings we stayed there from very early (three o'clock in the morning). For farm chickens it can give a feeling of homestead, but for us it was quite annoying as we sought peace and quiet. We were concerned about the safety of the site because when we returned to our room one night after 10, the security gate was still wide open with no security guard in sight. We also never received a remote control for the security gate as with other guesthouses.
Kiddie friendly environment. I was able to ask for a breakfast food package that was ready on time. Ettie and Johannes are definitely an asset to Lalapanzi. Dinner was very nice. The waitress attended to our needs.
Clean rooms with all the necessary facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful garden with tasty food in restaurant and located near Louis Trichardt.
Not a very friendly welcome. In fact, they didn't even expect our arrival and we were put the wrong room without air-conditioning on a day of 41 degrees. They weren't helpful to fix it. The rooms weren't very clean - spider webs, used soap in the drawer, glasses that tasted like soap and even the bath had soap in it. The beds were nice and the linen clean.
I had a great stay at Lalapanzi Hotel before and confidently made the reservation with my family this time. Was quite disappointed due to the following: TV channels were all on hold, reported it and by 8pm in the evening someone came to tune the channels. He brought his puppy with him and it made itself at home on the bed. I like dogs, but just thought it was kind of weird to let your dog make himself at home on a guests bed. My little boy wanted to take a shower by 7pm, no hot water. This was reported and they then started the geyser. Water takes an hour to warm up and by the time the water was ready he was already asleep. We had already put on pajamas and decided to shower early the next morning before our departure. Mentioned to the receptionist when we checked in that we were leaving early at 05:30 for the Limpopo Xco Cycling event. When we wanted to take a shower at 05:00 there was still no hot water. All three of us entered the day without showering. We decided to order room service from the menu between the 3 of us and then ordered 2 23 cm pizzas for R170 together. The pizzas arrived cold to the room after 55 min, after my boy had already slept so fell asleep hungry and dirty. The pizzas were less than 15 cm in diameter. By then my husband was disgusted and refused to accept the pizza. We walked back with the small, cold pizzas and the lady at reception said very sorry, they used the wrong base. They will see if they can find the right one somewhere, otherwise we just have to take our money back. As a result, all three of us went to bed dirty and hungry.
Location close to Louis Trichardt and Polokwane.

Disappointing if the entrance gate check for the MTB route doesn't work, especially after the previous day's fun bike race. Sore muscles need a light exercise again after the time.
The doors and entrance to the rooms are physically low and very small, inside there were many water vapor marks on the walls, and mold on the roof of the bathroom. There was a heater in the room that was completely broken and hanging on the wall in two parts. The bed was rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. We also went to eat at the restaurant earlier in the evening, the menu has a large variety but 3 of the dishes we ordered could not be made as they were out of stock. Furthermore, the plate of food I received also did not correspond to what was advertised on the menu, after I inquired about it I was only told that they had changed the dish to only one chop and without the sauce instead. 2 chops plus applesauce as advertised. But I still had to pay full price! I will definitely never sleep there again.
Our time there was short and quick, but very peaceful and relaxing. Thanks for the friendly reception from every staff member on the premises. Will definitely make use of your services again.
The hotel offers good accommodation for someone looking to stay the night near the highway. The hotel staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make my experience as pleasant as possible. The environment is beautiful and I would consider staying here again just to explore the surrounding area. The restaurant serves delicious meals. The only improvement I could recommend is covered parking.
My technicians are always happy to spend the night at Lalapanzi. They always ask to spend the night there and they are happy with the accommodation.
