The house was built in the early 1940's with original Oregon pine floors and a real 'Grandma's charm'. It was later used as a Missionary house for the pastor of the local Dutch Reformed Church. The guest house is ideally located as a midway stop between Johannesburg and Durban.
Accommodation is offered in 6 guest rooms, each equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, a microwave, bar fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, rusks, wardrobe, desk, and an en-suite bathroom either a shower or bath. Very nice stay, even if it was just the one night, the room was nice and spacious, and the atmosphere was just right to relax and prepare for the last part back to Gauteng.

The overnight stay was comfortable, and the unit is very nice with everything we could want for an overnight stay. The one bed did not have an electric blanket (all others did), and there was no hot water. However, the owners responded quickly and offered the use of another unit with hot water for showering.
On arrival the owner did not know who we were or that we were booked with them. Then the owner explained that we should have been phoned in the morning by his son to reroute us to a different B&B, which was not discussed with me beforehand. I was not happy with this, as this is not a location I would have booked myself. We made the booking and paid more than a month ahead of time, but it took the owner up until our arrival to inform us of the change. Will not recommend the accommodation, as, according to the owner himself, they do this regularly if they need space or if something comes up.
The guest house is tidy and there is safe parking. We slept wonderfully in a comfortable bed.

We slept well, but the room lacked a remote control and hair dryer, and only one bed had a warm blanket, the other did not. One understands that some 'guests' are guilty of theft, but surely the managers should not make the next guests pay for it? You choose and pay for your accommodation according to what is advertised.
