There is one Large TiPi tent set in a fully enclosed garden area. The tent is furnished with a double bed, 2 single beds, and a small child-only bed, accommodating 4 or 5. There is a private open-top shower unit, and at the ablution blocks each camp has 2 bathrooms with toilets and a shower.
The kitchen is equipped for a self-catering stay including a solar-powered bar fridge and 2-plate gas stove with kettle. The property is off the grid, so we use a combination of solar for the Lighting as well as solar and gas for hot water.
Guests are provided with secure parking.

25 guests' feedbackWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Magic TiPi. It was clean and well appointed with everything one needs. The lack of cell reception was so welcome and helped to switch off. The open-air shower was awesome and we will definitely be back.

What a surprise! Definitely something completely different from your regular honeymoon suites. After 23 years of married life we can now say we had the honeymoon we did not have that time. It was great to get away from the bustle of the city and just relax in the beautiful area.

The tranquility, silence, absolute seclusion is something to experience. Everything and more you need. They truly thought of everything. We enjoyed it so much. The facilities are unique and super clean. We will go back again for sure.

We had an absolute wonderful time at Lancewood TiPi Lodge. The owner was friendly and he did a great job in setting up a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the nature. Outside bath and shower, with a fully equipped kitchen, even a coffee plunger. Will definitely go back.

I just want to thank André and Jackie for the lovely piece of heaven on earth! Super clean tent and facilities. It was truly a great experience - for my family and my parents. The children didn't want to leave on Sunday and we didn't want to pack up. Definitely one of my favourite places to relax at. 10/10 for you guys and we wish you success.

I started the weekend alone with 2 children. The atmosphere was wonderful and my children enjoyed the outdoors immensely. I will definitely go again.

We had a great time relaxing and really enjoyed the fact that there is only gas and battery power. There is a nice outdoor shower that makes you feel even more part of nature and also fantastic hiking trails.
The kind people at Lancewood TiPi hosted us in an American tipi tent for three days. For the eco-conscious like us, everything is powered by gas or solar power. There are excellent facilities if you want to hang out in nature. The site itself is hidden in a wonderful valley where the Hex River's valley just turns down between Robertson and Ashton towards Lancewood. The Busch couple make 100% sure that all the necessities are available and private bathrooms as well as separate private tents are part of the experience. There are walking tours and the location itself lends itself easily to tours in the Hex River Valley with Ashton, Robertson, McGregor and such beautiful wine country towns very easily accessible from Lancewood Tipi. It was a special experience for our children to live in these unique tents that manage to ensure with mesolithic technology that the tents are cool and ventilated in the hot summer. There is a wonderful swimming pool and nice quiet walking trails that expose one to the wonderful fauna of the area. I can definitely recommend the place and express my thanks to the owners for their wonderful welcome and the stay.
What a wonderful experience, it's really camping without the hassle of hauling and setting up your own camping gear. The tents are beautiful, well equipped and extremely livable with a lovely double bed, sofa bed, chair, tables and even a hanging cabinet for clothes! Your campsite is yours, with your own open-air hot shower and sink. The kitchen is beautiful and you can bake and brew if you want (no electricity, all solar/gas). Lovely pool to cool off in. Nice walking paths and lots to visit in the area. The host and wife are wonderful and look after their guests very well!
The last 2 km dirt road to the lodge was particularly bad.
It was our first outdoor camp and it was special. We enjoyed it very much.
