Excellent, peaceful, and relaxing. A great place away from the city to rekindle the soul.
Pleasure for the soul is what we experienced! This during a long weekend where we had all 4 seasons! Our four-legged child enjoyed it just as much! Upon our arrival there were delicious treats: wine, chocolates, pomegranates. Weight didn't bother us, because the veranda with its large braai was where we spent most of our time!
We needed peace and tranquility so badly after an extremely hectic year. And that was exactly what we got here. Peaceful surroundings with the wind blowing through the trees were mind-blowing. A huge braai and amazing kuier stoep were the best. The rusks, wine and extra treats were such a treat and unexpected. Our dogs were in heaven with ample space to play and investigate. Thank you, Karlien, we will definitely be back!

We loved the quiet and peaceful location and spent most of our time on the stoep enjoying the surroundings.
I would recommend this place to people who need overnight accommodation for a night or two, but it is not at all suitable for a family with small children. The place is very cramped and there are no activities on the farm. There is no work space in the kitchen and the mop and broom just sit next to the sink / work table. The shower curtain is unusable and so the floor gets soaked. The lighting in the place is horrible! The beds were very comfortable, the bed linen of good quality and the towels acceptable. The kitchen equipment was great.

The indoor barbecue is a must for cold winter days. Very comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. All facilities needed for good eating and living.
It was very cozy and it was a very special experience to experience the extra effort that was made to make us feel welcome. The special bottle of red wine, the sweets, snacks. It was particularly creative and very very special. The effort and time put into making our stay and experience very special is 10/10. Thank you very much, we plan to stay there again next year with the dog competition. It will always be a very special time for us.
We had a very nice stay. It's just what one needs to completely disconnect from the busy life.
Was conveniently located for us as we had to look after our grandchildren for mum and dad who went to a wedding. Children were very interested in cattle that came so close to the house. Too bad about the rain otherwise we could have gone for a walk.
We had a fabulous winter stay. The beds were super comfortable, the cottage was really clean and we enjoyed the treats left for us. The large indoor fireplace was just what was needed in winter to keep warm.

We had an amazing stay. So quiet. It's really called a getaway place.
The place was very well equipped, but could do with a little more storage space, especially for those staying more than one night.
We really enjoyed our break in this cottage. The braai en stoep is fantastic and very protected (mostly) against the wind. I would just warn people with allergies, that this time of the year might require an extra dose of antihistamine. Karlien also left us lovely home-baked rusks! Bed was comfortable and everything was sufficiently provided for.
The treats are really appreciated - coffee, tea, biscuits, delicious bottle of wine, DVDs for when the weather doesn't cooperate. The indoor and outdoor barbecue is a hit for the cold winter months. Not to mention the nice patio!

The beautiful and tranquil location of the Langekuil farm in the Overberg countryside, fully equipped kitchen, inside and outside braai, and good quality mattresses and linen, amongst other things, made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Karlien's special touch with treats and extras were much appreciated. Langekuil's location was perfect for short trips to Greyton for lunch, antique shopping in Napier, wine tasting at Raka winery, and whale watching at De Kelders. Highly recommended! Cute little place in the field, wonderfully quiet and private. Just one tip: there are an awful lot of bugs, flies and small ticks in the cottage. Perhaps the owners could offer a bottle of spray poison or advise customers to bring their own? The water does not drain very well and washes over the stones behind the kitchen. This can become a problem. We appreciate the hostess and workers' friendly hospitality and care!
