Thanks for arranging our stay in Oudtshoorn, Langenhoven B&B. We really enjoyed it. It was quiet. The breakfast every morning was great, fresh and varied. Free WiFi and free parking. Ina and her team were fantastic. Affordable price. The only problem we experienced is the use of the swimming pool. My wife and I could never use it due to another family that always occupied the pool from 5 pm until 8 pm in the evening.
Smaller than we expected. The heater and electric blanket were on when we got there, which helped a lot in the bitter cold.
We would like to have a remote for the gate and not bother every time. But understand that previous guests have left with her remote.
Yes, it was peaceful and safe. However, the guest room needs attention. The sink drain was clogged, the door lock was broken, and the cover of the plug was falling off.
The hostess is very friendly and the place is tidy. The location is great for a quick stopover, or for a longer visit. It's quite central, and easy to get to the most important events in Oudtshoorn.

The hostess is very nice and the breakfast is nice, but the rooms definitely need an upgrade. It is old and beginning to fall into disrepair. We looked out of a dilapidated window on a construction site and I felt unsafe. The neighborhood's dogs keep you awake at night.
There were spider webs in the bathroom, the shower door did not close properly and the parking was inadequate. However, the hostess was a pleasant person who did her best to make us feel welcome. However, the outdated facilities made the stay unpleasant.

Stayed here during the KKNK 2023 festival. The guest house is centrally located and we could easily attend all the shows from here. Would love to stay here again.
The facilities and amenities are excellent. Good value for money. Excellent service and hospitality. The breakfast is exceptionally delicious. More can be done to make guests more comfortable during load shedding.

Our stay was very short. Only got there late in the evening and hit the road again early the next morning. We did have a good time and were well rested for the next day. My only negative feedback is the fact that the bar is one of the first photos, but it is not for guest use.
Recommended on condition that it is clearly mentioned that breakfast is not included in the R900 a night stay. The outside lighting can at least work in front of the room and more than one tea bag and enough sugar can be provided. There is cheaper accommodation in Oudtshoorn that also offers the same facilities. Parking will also become a problem if more than three rooms are occupied.

Contingency planning for the load shedding reality does not exist. A fence to keep dogs out of the house would help a lot. The trend to let dogs travel together requires a shake-up from owners.
Place needs a serious makeover. Very "dated".
The first disconcerting factor was the For Sale sign on the wall and the tired-looking paint on the gate and building. Parking is not good if you have a big car. The tap on our basin was not fastened to the basin. The bathroom's concertina door was broken. Step down into the bathroom not well highlighted for night use. Wall-mounted panel heater was double sided tapped to the bedside table. The only good thing was the bed was very comfortable and the hostess was friendly.
The room is normal with one big flaw, the step to the bathroom is low and there is no warning that there is a step in the dark. My wife fell because she couldn't see the stairs, too dark, without any warning that there was a staircase going down. Addressed owner about this. My wife could have been very hurt. The owner was there during the incident. Did not turn on light to show there was a staircase, nor said be careful there was a staircase.
Accommodation was not ready on arrival (after 14:00). Parking is impossible. Room is tired, but clean.

It was just a stopover for my road trip. I was received very kindly and even got a bigger room. A nice short visit with the owner and even though my reservation did not include breakfast, I was spoiled with a fresh fruit salad. Safe, warm and cozy.

The fan was making too much noise.
Bed was very lumpy and creaked. Kept us awake. We got up at 3:45am due to the discomfort.
The accomodation was acceptable. But for the price I expected more. It was clean and adequate but felt run down and neglected. The bedside lamp (only 1) was not plugged in and it took some searching to find a plug. Even then it was more effort moving furniture around to actually plug the light in. Also WiFi is advertised, but it only worked in one of the bedrooms and not the other and even the dining/bar area the WiFi did not work, and there was no cell phone reception either. The breakfast was generous.
We were booked for room no 8, but were seated at no 2, I was happy about no 8 as the pictures were nice and room also bigger. WiFi was very bad. We would have wanted to have breakfast, but it was said that the power would be off from 6 o'clock, so it would be dark to make breakfast, but it was not loadshedding. At half past 8 I left and power was still on. not again
Parking was poor, far from the room, the room's bathroom door could not close and stay closed, the small fridge's freezer had not been defrosted for a long time, the ice was hugely packed in the freezer. We were not impressed at all.
The beds are spacious and comfortable, the bathroom and amenities are clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the hostess is friendly and very helpful. Best place we'd stayed at the entire journey.

Parking is a nightmare, people had to wake up to move vehicles. Garden furniture and pool dirty and unusable. Braai area untidy.
The breakfast was delicious and more than enough in a cozy dining area. I am very fond of a clean place. Blinds, windowsill above the bed and under the bed were not clean, porch table dusty and porch full of leaves. The lady does her best for her guests and is hospitable. The room was dirty, but the bed was good.
Main road in front of house causes noise from traffic. Otherwise good stay.

We were a diverse group. Some comfortable and others a bit more full of nonsense, and by that I want to say that the whole group had a good time staying and hanging out for the 2 nights. The hospitality of all staff makes you feel at home. Nothing was too much for them if you asked them something. Their service is great and warm. It's very neat. This was our 2nd time staying there.
My wife, our baby and I enjoyed it very much. Our hostess went the extra mile to serve breakfast on Sunday. It is five-star service. Thank you very much.
On such a hot day we were very grateful for a cool room and swimming pool, with a garden that was pleasing to the eye. Here and there things could be spruced up a bit in the room, but currently all our requirements are met. Thank you so much for the fantastic picnic basket! If there was an air conditioner in the unit, we would have booked there again for sure. It was so hot though, couldn't sleep that night because of the heat. The fan in the unit just blows the hot air back and forth. Furthermore, there are no complaints.
Parking is just a bit cramped and a bit scarce and difficult to park if it is a large vehicle and the accommodation was full.

Wasn't friendly and it's a B&B, but breakfast wasn't offered and when it was asked, they said sorry they had already made it in the morning and weren't going to make it again.
Apartment full of cobwebs and spiders and toilet was still dirty from previous guests. Every day someone came in to clean, but the cobwebs remained. The owners did not come once to hear if we were satisfied. The parking is also a big problem.
Bedside lights didn't want to work and had to sort out the problem myself. Air conditioner in room without remote. Shower leaks that ponds of water at sink and then cause very slippery tiles. Landlady undertakes to lock suitcases so that we can collect them on the bus later in the afternoon before our departure. Cleaner went home later in the afternoon and when we wanted to collect our luggage no one was home. Owner's phones were switched off and could not be reached. We returned to Gauteng without luggage. There was no specific time agreement. I did ask if it would be uncomfortable if we had to worry about luggage late on Sunday afternoon because the bus leaves at 18:00. Her answer was there is always someone. No help from her side and had to ask a relative of George to collect luggage and send it to Gauteng by courier. I hope I never have to stay with such unprofessional people again

We are one of those people who were just looking for a place to sleep. We didn't spend much time at the accommodation. On arrival the room was a bit cold, maybe the heater could have been switched on an hour or so before the time. The rooms are neat. The breakfast was delicious and all our needs were taken care of. There was enough hot water and electric blankets had been on the bed. It's hard to keep a four-year-old toddler busy if you just want to spend time in the room. We discovered a 'walking trail' on site with a lookout point at the top. It had been an experience for my boy. Many thanks to Ina and her team.

This guesthouse provides neat, clean and safe overnight accommodation. They charge R30 for the WiFi, we reckon the WiFi should be free and included in the accommodation cost. Nowadays it is standard in the majority of guesthouses. In our experience at least.
Parking a big problem! We are on our way to Cape Town and wanted to drive early, but vehicles had to park behind each other in a narrow corridor. By 7:00 we at least woke up the hostess to ask that guests should move their vehicles so that 2 other guests could also get their vehicles out! Really inconvenient for our 3 vehicles that wanted to drive and guests that had to be woken up to move vehicles. Serious parking problem and also if you are towing another trailer with bikes and want to park your vehicle in safe parking, and have to stand back to back in a corridor.

My son and I stayed, as I drove through for his matric farewell. Due to the rain, the owners allowed us to take pictures inside the guest house. They were very kind and friendly. Only minus point was the pool which was empty and they were repairing it - so it didn't look like in the pictures. Will stay there again.
The reception was very poor. Staff makes excuse because they haven't been working there for long. Water was brown and just half a liter of drinking water was provided. Toilet broken and shower head busy falling off. If neighbors use the toilet next door you can hear everything because their window is right beneath our front door. It's not worth the star rating. We couldn't' wait to leave the place.

The neighbour's dogs kept us awake for most of the night.
Several items were unsatisfactory. The bedside lamps were not in order, no ice trays in the fridge. A very common complaint is that guest houses do not provide for benches to place suitcases or bags. Also the case here. Attention was paid, but we had to complain first. There was great uneasiness about safe parking. There is no room for all the guests' vehicles inside or behind the closed gate. Guests had to organize themselves to avoid being parked. This is unacceptable. Breakfast was good and host and wife were friendly and helpful.
We didn't have leaks overnight. The fridge made noise; toilet seat was loose; struggled with a gate that you have to open and close in the rain and my wife was not very happy about it. The host was not very friendly when we arrived for breakfast ten minutes earlier and the breakfast was really not pleasant. The neighbors' dogs wake you up early.

Jongnooientjiesfontein catered for my every need. It's quiet, private, and ideally located. Elmarie (The proprietor) was very flexible (by prior arrangement) on checking in and checking out times whilst being friendly and welcoming. The decor has a nice modern finish and was extremely clean throughout. The DStv was an added bonus especially for those days where the weather may not be too kind. Thumbs up all the way!

In the morning when I wanted to blow dry my hair, there wasn't a wall plug behind the mirror cabinet or close enough to work there. The mirror cabinet at the back was so full of cobwebs that I wondered if it was ever cleaned. It was pretty bad. There is also not much parking available near the room and the cars are parked outside in front of the house.
The owners are also very hospitable.

Not smoking, especially not the dining room which forms part of the bar. The room we slept in is very small. The parking was problematic.
It was very cold, we would have preferred if the room was heated ahead of time.
Place is closer to the town. Pool area is not sufficient to accommodate all residents simultaneously. It was a very hot day, air conditioning of rooms will be a good option to offer to guests even at a higher price.
The hosts are very friendly, and the room acceptable for a 3-star. We stayed for 3 days in December, and it was 40-degrees every day!! So it was a pity there were no air-conditioners in the rooms!

Langenhoven B&B had very clean rooms, friendly hosts and a great antique shop.
Everything was great. 3 stars for cleanlines was because the floors do not get cleaned properly. After a bath our feet were black from just walking on the floor. We did not meet the owners but the stand in, Anne, was great, so much so that when in George we intend to visit her and Danny on a personal level. Location is great except for the noise of the trucks through the night.
