Rest, enough space, friendly reception and excellent service. Fireplace was something to experience. Breakfast excellent, especially the small stuff. Will definitely be back.

We had the most wonderful stay at Langverwagt. The setting was gorgeous and the historic accommodation was comfortable, homey and clean. Wonderful personal touches were added such as freshly picked garden flowers and home-baked rusks. The hostess was warm and accommodating and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, besides being a fantastic cook. We were spoilt at breakfast with delicious food and a beautiful view from the farmhouse porch, complete with Koi pond and peacocks. We also loved saying hello to the horses, and walking around the beautiful garden and venue. Truly a special place, not far from Cape Town, and I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. We will be back.
Long-awaited is definitely not just accommodation, it is a natural paradise so next to the hustle and bustle of the city. The historic rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. So much family history and paintings in the main house and Mrs. Le Roux and the entire Le Roux family are the most fantastic hosts/hostesses with genuine kindness, warmth and humanity. Charmaine, who serves the breakfast and makes sure guests are comfortable, also deserves a thumbs up. The farm-fresh English/South African breakfast on the veranda is a great treat, supplemented by items fresh from the oven or from the plate (scones, home-baked bread, plate cookies). Beautiful gardens and trees and walkways to refresh the soul. Easy to fall in love with this farm and its people, thank you so much for the privilege of being able to stay here for the week!

It is one of the nicest and quietest places I have ever visited. The breakfast is definitely the best in the west and wouldn't trade it for anything. I would come back and visit anytime, just to break away. You guys are tops.

What an experience to be able to stay in a building from the 1800s. The breakfast was very good and more than one expects. One must remember that this accommodation is not modern, but bearing in mind how old the farm is it was well worth the stay. The owner's wife was most charming and such a delight to speak to. Unforgettable time, country hospitality top notch, heart people, make sure you don't have a full program after the farm breakfast, because recovery time with a morning nap is needed after that breakfast! I will be planning my trips around this stay, for sure!
What a gem - it's comfortable, peaceful, beautiful scenery and of course friendly service. I will suggest Long-awaited to all visitors. I would definitely check in there again and was really very disappointed when the time was up.
