Lankverwacht Guest Farm is conveniently located between Van Rhynsdorp and Nieuwoudtville, not even a kilometer from the main road. The cottage is comfortably equipped with everything one would need. Only thing one misses is WiFi as the signal is generally not very good.
This is our 2nd time at Lankverwacht and had good communication with Ingrid. We checked in late and Martin and Amanda received us and drove us to our accommodation and shared the necessary information. The farm has good dirt roads on which we could go cycling and just see flowers between the rides. 20 min from Vanrhynsdorp.

We camped at Lankverwacht. Beautiful location. There are upgrades being made to the camp sites and ablutions, which will only improve the rustic setting. Ablutions were clean. The outside sink area, however, needs urgent attention.
The house is located between the mountains with the most beautiful view. It's perfect for sleeping over - you can see the road and cars in the distance, but it's far enough that you can't hear them. The cottage was well equipped, clean and tidy. It would have made our stay perfect if the owners had provided wood for the fireplace - we got there quite late and the town is too far away to quickly jump in the car and go shopping.
Comfortable, quiet, could also enjoy walking around the farm to look at flowers.
We had a wonderful 2 nights in the Lankverwacht Guest Farm & Camping. Very private, quiet and with the most beautiful views. The large porch with covered barbecue was our favorite place to visit. The unit is well furnished. Communication before and during the stay was excellent. The owners were very accommodating and made an effort to accommodate us. Excellent value for money.

The stay was very pleasant, because it was quiet with breathtaking mountains behind you when you look out from your place of residence. The scenery made it absolutely worth it.
Not what was advertised. Photo shows cottage, but this was an old caravan with living area and bathroom attached. Bed very uncomfortable to sleep on, moved to sofa bed. Amenities very limited. No place to hang clothes and no reading lamp. Main entrance through bathroom. Later they locked the other door for us. Really not what we thought with booking.
The stay was good as a stopover. Nothing spectacular.
Pro: pretty view; con: can hear the highway. The stay was alright enough. Check-in was a bumble on their part. The owner had not let the camp manager know that we were booked in for the night. Once we arrived it took 20 minutes for them to establish that I was a legit guest even though I was showing the camp manager my booking confirmation from LekkerSlaap. Simple mistakes that can be easily avoided. Additionally, our campsite was right next to another caravan camper with no divider between us (all the other sites had dividers to give the campers some privacy). I think our neighbours were a bit put off at how close we were (so were we) and also the fact that the pictures of the campsite make one think that you have a mesh wall for privacy (as I previously said, all the other sites had mesh walls, it is just that ours does not). I think our site was actually sold and they had to squeeze us in because of the miscommunication between the owner and camp manager. I simply point this out so that they may do better in the future.
