It was a really lovely place and we had an amazing time. It's in the woods and you're lying in your bed looking into the woods. It's really great. The house is tidy and incredibly well equipped. There is everything you need. Thanks again to the host and hostess who shared the place with us.
We had a nice quiet time at LaPumba. House was spotless and tidy. Very well appointed and has everything one needs. Being able to feed the various animals was a highlight. Leeupoort is also a nice and quiet holiday town.

There are insufficient words to describe the relaxing and tranquil nature of this stay. If you want to really get away from it all and just get fresh air, peace and quiet then you have to stay here. The out of the way area is actually perfect to really disconnect from city living. Definitely worth the drive! Driving into the Leeupoort Vakansiedorp, we were greeted by zebra, buck, wildebeest, and warthogs roaming freely throughout the enclosure and felt a sense of calm before we even got to the unit. LaPumba itself was incredible - the unit is very spacious, clean, and will cater for your every need. There are so many thoughtful finishing touches throughout the unit to make your stay more comfortable. The mesh-screen doors that keep bugs out were very welcome. Everything the owners have done lends to a truly relaxing atmosphere where you can feel your soul rejoice as you commune with nature. We could not help ourselves but spend time with all the wildlife that would roam past the unit. We even found ourselves driving to nearby Koedoespoort to get more "Bokkos" animal feed to watch how the animals would be drawn to a tasty snack. The braai area and jacuzzi were immediately our favourite part of the house. Our biggest regret was that we only booked for the weekend and not the whole week! We hope to be back again soon!

A break from the busy city life with my parents. The place looked very nice in the pictures, but when we opened the door, we were so surprised. It is absolutely luxurious, spotless and very tasteful. There is everything one could need and even more. The view over the forest was breathtaking and animals abundant. The nightcaps and eagle rings were an absolute highlight. We also got a regular visitor, a meerkat we called Jannie, because he was there every now and then. Very tame and cute. Then of course the jacuzzi was the icing on the cake and of course the luxurious master bedroom with sliding doors, porch and beautiful view of the forest. I can highly recommend LaPumba, it's a gem in Leeupoort.
If you're really looking for an "experience" and value for money, you can't go wrong with LaPumba! It's clean, the service is friendly and it definitely offers value for money!

We once again really enjoyed our stay at LaPumba. The unit is nicely located so that you don't look at other houses. It is nice that it is fenced and that the children can play safely inside. The Jacuzzi was nice and clean and works well. The kitchen has everything one needs. Communication was also very good.
We had an incredibly nice weekend. We have 2 small children and the fact that the yard is fenced off in the back was great. The children enjoyed feeding the animals so much. We had a lovely walk around and went for a drive in the field. The house was very clean and really well equipped. The photos on the website do not do the house justice. It was much nicer and better equipped than the photos and description made it sound. If we were to go to Leeupoort again, we would definitely want to stay in Lapumba again. We were very happy to get all the rules and help from the owner and were only sorry we couldn't stay longer, will definitely book again in the summer.

La Pumba is a great place to go for some quiet time in the forest. The house has everything you need and the facilities are clean and well looked after. Pieter was always ready to answer a question and was very pleasant to work with. The wildlife that comes around is a very big positive and there were animals visiting the fence all weekend. Will definitely be back at La Pumba.

LaPumba has everything needed. The large veranda with the Jacuzzi which was definitely a winner for my children and grandson. The porch at the back to enjoy morning coffee and see the wildlife. Would definitely recommend LaPumba.

Exactly what a city person needs. It was exactly what I wanted with a very special person. The animals and tranquility give one a chance to have good times together on a special level.
We had a wonderful time. It is lovely to be so close to nature. Many of the game are very tame, and it is such a lovely experience to feed them by hand. Be forewarned, there is very little to no cellphone signal, so if you are not prepared to leave the outside world behind for the duration of your stay, this may not be the best option. Personally, it was so calming to disconnect and just be in nature.
Feeding the animals was an awesome experience, we enjoyed lying in bed and watching the night owls.

Tremendous standing smell at the pot cupboard. No hot water in the jacuzzi. Reason given was load shedding, but water was ice cold all the time. Because it was cold and rainy, we had to stay indoors with limited TV channels. Better package can be found for the price we paid.
Jacuzzi didn't heat which was disappointing as it was the main attraction and kids are disappointed.

Having stayed at Leeupoort before in the more built-up area, I was very surprised to see the patios overlooking the bush and not someone's back wall. This was a very precious sight and site. I will definitely go again and more often!
A beautiful place away from the crazy life style of city living, beautiful and tranquil in the natural environment with lots of encounters with wildlife throughout the day. Absolutely amazing.

After a nightmare experience at another vacation spot, this weekend was heaven. The unit is furnished with everything one could possibly need and we had a wonderful time around the bonfire. Many animals came to say hello but thanks to the retaining wall the children were always safe. A little more dish soap and cushions for the boma chairs would be nice improvements, but other than that we have no complaints! Lapumba was a festival!
We had such a lovely stay at LaPumba - I would definitely recommend this place. The house was so clean and neat, and more than what we expected. Definitely value for money. We saw lots of animals - we were greeted by some Pumbaas when we arrived, but nyala, kudu and zebras also popped by for a visit.
Nice peaceful place, beautiful surroundings and tame animals. Really a wonderful experience to come into contact with so many wild animals without having to go hunting.
I recommend this property to anyone who wants to feel like they are at home in the Bosveld. The place is extremely neat and clean, the beds are very comfortable and the house is very well equipped with everything you need. The hot water Jacuzzi and the beautiful view definitely made our weekend. See you again soon.

Such a lovely place, within the first 20 minutes, we saw zebras, kudu, warthogs and meerkats. The animals are on your door step! Jacuzzi is awesome with small kids!
I have been to different places in Leeupoort and LaPumba was the best.
Peace of mind in the forest always nice.
There is unfortunately too much decor, especially for people who are staying for a long time there is not enough storage space between all the decor. Fans helped a lot, but if air conditioning could be installed in the sitting/dining/kitchen area, especially during the month of December, the stay would be even better.
Would definitely recommend if you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and just relax. Saw many wild animals. LaPumba was very neat and clean, and will definitely visit again in the future.
Very well appointed house. Unfortunately we were there during level 6 load shedding which means the house was just cold, but that's not the owner's fault. Unfortunately the Jacuzzi didn't heat up, but the owner compensated us for that. Saw many animals and the night monkeys were awesome. Would recommend to anyone.

Although decor is not my taste, I am happy to recommend the property. It is clean, tidy and well equipped. The view on the forest a big bonus with many animal visitors.
LaPumba is a very nice place. Although the house is lovely, there are too many ornaments. It makes it feel cluttered. We had to put all the scatter cushions from the beds in the lounge, as there were just too many. It would also be nice to have the option to have someone clean the place, as we spent our last morning getting up at the crack of dawn to clean and pack. All and all we had a lovely time, and will certainly consider LaPumba again for a breakaway.
Animals roam freely which is wonderful and the drive trough the game reserve also seen a lot of animals. If you want to get away and have peace and quiet this will surely be the place to go.
The place is very nice and tidy. Really enjoyed the Jacuzzi and wild animals. The administration fee is a bit much especially when you consider the roads themselves in the village which are not maintained. Don't really understand the admin fee, shouldn't it be factored into the price maybe? But apart from that it was a very nice and peaceful place.

Such an amazing experience. We are nature and animal lovers and this little gem tick all the right boxes. From friendly and accommodating hosts, to over eager wild animals who seems like they were thought some table manners. It was nice to wake up to them waiting right by our door in the morning and strolling along on our walks. The place were neat, clean and everyone in the area is so friendly.
We had a great time, the place is very well equipped. I just missed a counter/dresser in bedrooms where a woman can blow her hair etc.
