20 guests' feedbackWe had a great stay in the Lavender Cottage. The unit is very cosy, clean and tidy, and the places to eat in Willowmore are definitely worth visiting and are within walking distance of the unit.
Veronica was charming and most helpful with all my queries. I intend to stay there again.
Veronica greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us to the room we had booked. It was so clean and tidy, which we very much appreciated. We could come and go as we wanted. There were nice security features like locked gates, mesh doors and alarm beams to ensure safety in the area we stayed. We slept so well, and in the morning, we got a croissant breakfast before we left for the rest of our vacation. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at 18 on Mark if they travel through Willowmore. We were pleasantly surprised that it looked better in person than in the photos, and the hospitality given was nice. We will definitely book there again if we travel through the area.

I had a warm and helpful welcome from Veronica, who went out of her way to accommodate my early arrival and my departure the next morning at the crack of dawn. A lot of thought and care have gone into making this accommodation both comfortable and attractive.
Veronica really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Safe parking is very important to us and this is what Lavender Cottage offers us.

The owners welcomed us upon our arrival and immediately made us feel at home. The room was neat and certainly one of the best we experienced during our 2 week holiday around the Cape. We were also spoiled with dinner (extra) as well as a delicious breakfast which was included in the rate. We will definitely recommend this guest house to all our family and friends.
It is very cozy and the owners are fantastic. It is soul food, tranquility is awesome. Thanks Veronica and Mark, you are fantastic.
We booked the double room. Upon arrival we see that the entrance to the room is on the street, and with Veronica's recommendation, we moved to the cottage at the back of the yard which is much better and private. With the heat in Willowmore, and the cottage being without air conditioning, it was unbearably hot and uncomfortable. The 5 fans do not cool the unit. Place is clean and tidy and everything you need is available. A farm gate is just in front of the cottage next to the house. Guests' vehicles may not drive through the gate to unload luggage as close as possible to the door, or park under the shade of the large tree. This is a large area. So your vehicle is standing in the hot sun. Area is pebbles. These are the owner's rules. Veronica prepared dinner for us which was very nice. She is friendly and tries to explain that they are off the "grid" and cannot put in air conditioning. Guesthouses must provide for guests' comfortable stay. Shaded parking will be an asset to the guest house. Security is very good.
