I was locked out from the main gate and had to jump over the wall.
No load shedding at the guest house and nice warm blankets for the cold is a big plus.

This is really a comfortable stay and very restful. Everything inside the unit tastefully done and in good working order. The hosts were most accommodating and went the extra mile for us. just awesome people. Will be back when again in the area. Make the effort to stay over there if you can.
Owners received us with such kindness and come to make sure that our camping is pleasant. The only negative was that it was over New Year's/New Years and with the location within the town, it was very noisy, but that would be the case anywhere in a town. So absolutely nothing that owners can do about it to prevent it. Believe throughout the rest of the year it will be very quiet and a very pleasant experience. Thanks again for friendly service.
It was a convenient and safe location. The rooms were spacious and clean but dated and need a bit of TLC. Most rooms overlook a courtyard parking area. Ideal for an overnight stay but perhaps not for a long stay. Good value for money.
Booked for two single beds and were put in a room with a double and a singe in two different rooms.
Owners were very friendly and helpful throughout. First time to use my hometown guest houses, definitely a pleasant experience. Well appointed unit for the price range. I regularly use LekkeSlaap, especially on the N1 route and this was excellent value.
Friendly service, clean tidy room with fridge, stove and microwave. Very quiet part of town, close to shops and attractions. We had a nice meal at Maud se Gat, Gypsy Bistro and Kanna se Kombuis.
We were 5 men touring with bicycles. Carine took us to a restaurant with her car and came back to pick us up in the evening. Also got up at 5 in the morning to give us coffee and biscuits before we drove.
We have already arrived after sunset. Plekkie is super quiet, incredibly clean and has solar power. Everything we needed for a good sleep and rest.
The venue is a highlight when travelling to Ladysmith and the surrounding area. The reception was friendly and the service efficient. The room was more spacious than I expected and in-room facilities was clean and just what I needed for my stay - a, fridge, microwave, cutlery, television and braai. The bathroom was en-suite which ensured more privacy. I arranged for breakfast - at additional cost - which was well enjoyed. I would highly recommend this venue for solo travelers, couples and young families.
