31 guests' feedbackWe had a lovely stay in the big old farmhouse. Everything you need is there, from cuddly bedding and towels to kitchenware and braai facilities. Our hostess also went out of her way to help when we got stuck. Really a very nice, peaceful place and a positive experience.
The farmhouse on Leeuwfontein is very spacious and well equipped.

Beautiful old spacious farmhouse surrounded by the beauty of the Karoo. The house is well equipped and the hostess really thought of everything. From lamps and a gas stove for load shedding to lubricant for mosquitoes. Our dogs were welcome and enjoyed the space and silence after the long drive. We will definitely come back.
I can imagine that one would want to stay here for days! Well equipped for large groups. The kitchen has everything you can think of. Unfortunately we didn't have hot water in our en suite bathroom, but the other bathroom was fine.

The house is very well equipped with everything and more. The towels and bedding are of excellent quality and I really enjoyed them. The hostess was very helpful and friendly.
Beautiful old farm house with an amazing Karoo view. Very comfy and well furnished. Braai on the porch overlooking the Karoo vista was a great way to relax after a hard day's drive. House is great for little children as there is ample space for them to run around and play.
It was a real farm feel with people who did everything to make our stay more enjoyable. Was just a pleasure.

Lovely to be able to sleep in a farmstead. The Aggas stove in the kitchen was a bonus. The house is spacious with plenty of sleeping space and the appliances are great - everything works and it's clean! Highly recommended especially for large groups.
The house needs a little maintenance (sliding door to stoep and globes in some rooms), but was extremely comfortable and well-equipped.
We had a lovely stay in the big old farmhouse. Very well furnished and one really feels the peaceful farm atmosphere. The firewood already stacked and ready to be lit was a real treat! The fact that the place also welcomed our 3 little dogs was a bonus. Will stay longer next time!

We spent one night at Leeuwfontain Guest Farmhouse. We had the whole old guesthouse to ourselves. Filter coffee was available in the kitchen. Old coal stove that can be made. We really enjoyed it and our host was helpful. About 10 km dirt road to farmhouse which is not a bad road.

I would definitely recommend Leeuwfontein. Price is fair. Accommodation neat. Hostess very nice and helpful. Directions very clear. The dirt road is also in good condition. We only stayed one night (on our way to Cape Town for the holidays). The silence of the farm is an absolute pleasure for the soul. Our two Labrador dogs enjoyed stretching their legs on the yard.
If you want to get away from it all and have an appreciation for the silence and openness of the Karoo you will really enjoy this massive farmhouse and surroundings. It was a very special weekend for us and we would love to stay there again.
It was perfect for us traveling with three dogs (lots of space for them to run and unwind after a long journey). For us, it was wonderful to have such spacious, clean and comfortable and well equipped accommodation. Plus we were most impressed by the service offered by TravelGround regarding this booking. We had a wonderful overnight stay at Leewfontein. We were a little scared when we realized we were all alone in the huge farmhouse - real Gautengers! This is the ideal place for a group of family/friends to visit on the way to the Cape or just for a farm experience. Wonderful service from owners who made sure that even our dinner was bought and stored in the fridge.
