We had a wonderful stay at Uncle Nico's place. It's neat and it's close to the sea (you can hear the sea - always a bonus). We felt very safe and it's so peaceful. We were kindly received and Uncle Nico and his wife were very nice and helpful when we were in a bit of trouble (a bug got into my husband's eye causing trouble). We can recommend their places anytime and will definitely visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lekke By Die See. There was everything we needed. The owners, uncle Nico and aunt Christa, were very hospitable. They went out of their way to make it pleasant for us.
It was lovely and peaceful. It's just around the corner and you're at the sea. We had a great time and the hospitality of the host and hostess, Nico and Krista, was excellent. The place meets everything we were looking for. It was clean and tidy, by the sea, loadshedding didn't bother me because provisions were made, good bed, nice bathroom and so was the kitchen. We could just kick off our shoes and were home immediately. We just had a good time and rested.

It was truly a lovely holiday by the sea. Lekke By Die See's location is perfect and Uncle Nico and Aunt Christa make you feel very much at home. We will definitely go again.
Uncle is so hospitable and nice to talk to. Will definitely go again. Could hear the ocean, the silence was exactly what we needed.
The unit is clean and tidy. The water just wasn't very warm.
Overnight accommodation during a visit to Velddrif. Direct access to the unit from the driveway in front of the house where you park would be a big plus.
The flat is a sectioned-off part of the host's house (towards the back garden), with its own entrance through the garden. It has a private braai area with a bench from which you can even get a glimpse of the sea, which is only one row of houses and a short walk away. The flatlet has wifi, a fully equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer combo and all appliances you will need, a bar counter, 2 lounge chairs and a table to eat at. The bed was a comfortable double bed and we enjoyed the air conditioner in the bedroom. The bathroom is spacious with a shower and large bath and has recently been renovated. The host was very friendly and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed. Great value for money and we would stay here again any time.

It was a lovely peaceful getaway for me and my wife. Nico, Christa and of course Sophie (fox terrier) had been an absolute refreshment. Nice, hospitable and of course very friendly. I would recommend it to anyone for a nice getaway, where you can relax with a glass of wine or a beer in hand, and look over the horizon while the fire burns nicely for a little meat to grill on the coals . Sophie came to say hello every day. Nice stories shared with Nico and Christa. It is walking distance to the sea where you can enjoy walking on the stand for kilometers on end, just remember, you have to walk back too. Close enough to the little shop to walk if you want, and the bigger towns are around the corner. Nice by the sea, will definitely see us again very early in the New Year. Thank you Nico, Christa and Sophie for the wonderful holiday we were able to spend there.
If you're not taking a breather, there are no sounds around you, it's quiet and peaceful and close enough to the sea and shops that you don't even need your vehicle. The landlords are also friendly and helpful but give you privacy, this is one of the few places I can say I would go back to anytime.

Neat, clean place with a good bed and bedding at the back of the owner's yard with a patio and own barbecue area. Everything you need in the kitchen. Around the corner and walking distance from main beach. Friendly host and hostess. Had a wonderful stay and slept. The day before departure, a seal came to lie on the beach to greet us.

Nice by the sea was exactly what we needed. Short walking distance from the sea with kilometers of stand with hardly anyone in sight. Make a day of walking on the beach and take a bag with you for some beautiful shells. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to have a fantastic break. Bring wood, meat, drinks and leave all your problems at home. If you have a camera, bring it too. You will not be squirt. You don't need music, the waves breaking on the beach are more than enough background music. Nico is very helpful and knows the area and likes to suggest some hidden places to check out. Thank you very much for an incredible weekend. It was really nice by the sea.

We were received very kindly. We enjoyed the silence and it's nice walking distance from the beach. It was a lovely quick break from the city's busy life. It was very quiet and peaceful and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need.
The owner received us very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was excellent and there was everything we needed to prepare our own meals. Dwarskersbos is very quiet, and there isn't a swimming beach, but it's peaceful. We could walk to the sea in a few minutes and from the veranda we could see a bit of sea, not much, but at the extremely reasonable price you can't expect more. The place is very close to Velddrif/Laaiplek, where there are interesting places to eat and which has a lot to offer bird watchers.
Aircon should work in winter. TV would be nice. Far to walk with luggage at back of house.

We have never been to Dwarskersbos and the experience was definitely an unforgettable one! We really enjoyed the little seaside town and will definitely come back. Lekke By Die See were the most perfect houses for what we needed. It is walking distance from the beautiful beach where we went to watch the most beautiful sunset. Friendly reception. Everything was perfect. Was pleasantly spoiled with friendly chats from the owners and their cute dog. The aunt also spoiled us with snacks. The apartment is well equipped and very tidy. It was almost like your own home away from home.

It was a little difficult to locate the premises as there was no signage. It's a simple but adequate self catering unit at the back of the main residence. The host popped in regularly to check if we were okay or if there was anything we needed. It is within walking distance of the beach, and local shops which was handy. We were quite comfortable.

We had a great stay in the neat and clean apartment with a lovely patio and barbecue area. Equipped with everything needed. Friendly owners who immediately make you feel at home and share interesting information about the area. The sea is very close and you can listen to it on the veranda. WiFi, air conditioning in the room and lock-up garage are a plus. Can definitely recommend the place and will book there again next time.
As we needed accommodation for a funeral, it was very private and no incidents of loud noise or noisy neighbours.
