Such a nice getaway. Amazing! Will go again any time.

Lekkerdroom is very high on our list of "we will definitely make a visit there again". And we will definitely go back again and then for longer. We stayed in Lê-Lê Huisie. This house is, in my opinion, the most private house of all. And now and then we saw the zebras from the porch. The bunch of animals is also pleasant and children will definitely enjoy it. Tessellaarsdal is just around the corner and on Saturday, which was my birthday, we went to the old post office, which is now a coffee shop, to eat the most amazing choklit and lemon meringue cake. That auntie knows how to bake. We are definitely going back again and can't wait.

Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted and welcomed. The accommodation is perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and the animals.

"Boertjie se droompie" is spacious and well furnished. Lucas, his wife and little boy are very nice and friendly. Lucas even helped us with an emergency welding job on New Year's morning.

This place has simple, tidy accommodation with everything we needed. It is wonderful how artistically the owners use old implements, furniture, toys and plants to make the cottages look beautiful. For the accommodation costs asked, one certainly does not expect 3-star luxury and our expectations were exceeded. There is a nice view over the plain in the direction of Caledon. The different animals lead to a wonderful atmosphere. There are camels, llamas, donkeys, parrots (crys like crows) and common farm animals and, also, frogs that croak at night. The background noises made us sleep well. Up on the slope of the Kleinrivierberge (between Lekkedroom and Stanford) the weather is more like the Stanford side, a few degrees cooler than in, e.g., Caledon, about 25 km away. Still, the nice swimming pool is not to be missed on a hot day. The De Postkantoor restaurant and trinket shop (a post office building from 1891), in Tesselaarsdal just around the corner, offers lovely dishes when they are open (check website for opening hours; also provides permits for mountain bike trails.). The area is a mountain bike paradise both for those who just want to ride on good dirt roads and those who are looking for something technical (like for example the Haarkappers Pass to Stanford - for the intrepid). All-in-all: a wonderful discovery.

Lekkerdroom Farm was one of the best getaways that we have had! The owner was friendly and welcoming, the house was clean, and the animals were a great attraction for our daughter!

The kids enjoyed it and they were never bored. The animals really were an experience. Good reception and the owners are very friendly. Our sons had a nice time with the owners' son who showed us around on the farm. The river experience was great for the boys. Will definitely go back.

Lekkerdroom's self-catering cottages are in a very nice and safe area and the owner, Lucas, and his family are very friendly and helpful hosts. We will definitely want to go there again for a lovely farm visit. Our family was in 3 of the houses and everyone had a good time and relaxed and really enjoyed the animals on the farm!

We stayed in Boertjie's Droompie, which was spacious enough for the 4 adults and 5 dogs we had. The yard outside was big enough for all our animals and the house was very tidy. We especially enjoyed the camels, zebras and goats early in the morning. The friendliness of the farmer and his wife is a big plus.

This was a beautiful place with very friendly owners and made us feel very welcome. The place has comfortable facilities and everything one needs during your stay. The children especially enjoyed the many different animals on the farm. The accommodation is close enough to other places on the coast and the drive out is therefore not a problem.

We used the Boertjie unit for 10 days and can definitely recommend Lekkerdroom! We have two young children and even for them it was great! They really enjoyed the pool, farm animals and open spaces to run and explore. Friends joined us for about 4 days and were welcomed with kindness just as we were. Lucas is awesome and even when we stopped there only after 22:00 on the first night he was friendly and welcomed us with a smile and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. The environment is peaceful and safe and we will definitely go back again.

Even before we got there, Lucas was a brilliant host. Phoned me to confirm arrival, entry, ice and wood and checked if I had any other queries. Lucas made us feel right at home. We stayed in "Boertjie se droompie" and loved it. Wonderfully peaceful place to go to. We went down to the river to play around in the stream and the kids had a wonderful time playing in the mud. Very happy to recommend it and happy to go there again.

Arrived late at night at Lekkerdroom and the entire area's power was out. We were welcomed by Lucas with a fire inside, candles and coffee in the pot inside (also more wood for later). Hospitality was very good. Beautiful farm outside of the city and I will recommend it to anybody.

On arrival which was extremely early we were met by Lukas the owner who was exceptionally welcoming. We met his wife and his son all very helpful. We off loaded the vehicle way before check in and went to Hermanus. Both my husband and I have very stressful jobs and haven't had a day off in 2 months and with no regrets chose the perfect place to unwind. No hussle and bustle of the city life. We experienced primitive living. We spent weekends away at luxury apartments but this was by far the most memorable holiday ever. Will recommend Lekkerdroom to anyone wanting to unwind.

The purpose of our booking was to spend quality time with church leaders before our Sunday service in Genadendal. The location was perfect, Lucas's hospitality and his young son were very nice. Just a pity that we didn't stay long. Sunset was one of the most beautiful to experience. The camp fire burnt while we prepared for our Sunday activities. Hopefully we'll be back soon, for longer.

We went to Lekkerdroom Farm with friends, there were 7 of us, so we had the six sleeper and the two sleeper. The six sleeper had everything you would need for a longer stay, even a washing machine. Lucas the owner of the farm is so interesting and he breeds parrots and showed us all around. They have two zebras, two ostriches, a semi-tame springbok that likes to butt you. Lots of springbok in another field, ducks, geese, chickens, and two gorgeous Great Danes. It's a fantastic place to take children, but even without children we loved it. Lucas supplies wood for the braai and his son Luke brings it round on a little trolley. Just down the road in the Old Post Office you can get the best cooked breakfast we've ever eaten. Well worth taking a trip out to Lekkerdroom Farm.

Lucas is a friendly, competent owner and host. 10 out of 10 for a comfortable house with ample space for a family. We wanted to explore the Overberg area, but were so impressed with the house, quiet, environment and countryside atmosphere. So we just ended up relaxing and enjoying the local area. If you're looking to complete your next book or dissertation, go do it at Lekkerdroom.

Was at Lekkerdroom over December. The host was kind enough to even leave us a bag of ice in the freezer and there was also wood available. Lekkerdroom has a beautiful view all around the house and one can't help but relax, even with a busy schedule. Will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area. Thank you very much Lukas.
