It was wonderful to sit on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and listen to all the little creatures and see them. There was nothing we lacked. The place is clean, tidy and a nice home away from home. Thank you for your hospitality! We will definitely stay at Leliehoek again.

Our reception was warm, thank you very much. Wow, we had a great stay - unfortunately only for one night. Quiet and peaceful - a step back in time (so to speak), yet, with everything you need. We would definitely like to stay here again.
We enjoyed the weekend. The house is right next to the pond, so it is perfectly located if you love walking. Was very nice for us as a family and we have already booked our next weekend.

We were received so kindly and felt very welcome. The house has everything one might need. I was afraid we would get cold during the cold front that came through, but the house has heaters and electric blankets, along with the fireplace it was lovely in the house.

We did mention to Helen that there was a rat in the house. The shower drain was blocked and the shower head can be improved. Apart from this, the house is lovely and clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Can enjoy nature. There is no TV or WiFI so it's good if you just want to get away from it all. House is well furnished and has everything one needs. Beautiful walking trails are close to the house and one can explore another part of Clarens.

The house has atmosphere, is well equipped and has a lovely veranda for sitting and enjoying the views. There is also a lovely library of books, a fireplace and everything needed to enjoy a quiet weekend.
House and garden are beautiful and located near the start of many hiking trails. What a privilege to be able to stay in one of the oldest houses in Clarens. Will definitely visit there again on the porch with the most beautiful view of the mountains. Uncle Coen and Aunt Helen, thank you for your hospitality and your willingness to accommodate all our requests - hopefully we'll see you again soon.
The housing was good and very well located. The people are friendly. It is worth visiting Leliehoek.
It is a beautiful old house with great views over the valley and mountains and the wildlife reserve is right there to enjoy morning strolls through nature.
Leliehoek is the most beautiful sandstone house in an incredibly beautiful environment. It's right next to the nature reserve and less than 400m from the dam. The cottage has everything you could need and Aunt Helen is just a phone call/message away. We enjoyed every moment and will definitely go again!
Lovely spacious house for a very good price!
Light outside by braai area would be nice, as well as one that shines towards the carport. It is quite dark in the evening when you park and have to walk home.

We had a great time in Leliehoek. It is located in a beautiful area of Clarens with a view of the mountains. The nature reserve is just around the corner. The best part of the house is the porch. The house is very well equipped for self-catering, with everything you will need in the kitchen. There is a beautiful, large garden which is lovely for the children to play in. We will definitely stay there again.
We stayed in Little Free State because Leliehoek was still busy with repairs. Little Free State was well equipped and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We will use their lodgings again.
I would recommend anyone to stay there.
Oldest sandstone house in Clarens on the outskirts of town. Entire house and kitchen at our disposal, environment very peaceful.
The way to the house is a little dark and without a lot of light as well as the area around the house it a little dark. Fairy lights could make a huge difference.
As pet friendly, it could do maintenance of things like gate etc.

During a very busy Easter weekend in Clarens, Leliehoek still offered the peace and quiet we craved. With its large lawns, spacious house and location on the edge of town, Leliehoek is the perfect getaway for families with young children. I highly recommend it.
The house is perfect, the pond near the house the best cooling place you will find. It's very peaceful and the house itself is very well looked after. Definitely worth visiting.

The old house lies against the mountains with a beautiful view. A lovely bookshelf with lots of readable books. The only possible problem is that your car is not locked and bolted, but I trust there are no such problems on Clarens.
Quiet, lovely setting in a beautiful garden. The stoep is the nicest place to visit. As Leliehoek is out of the hustle and bustle, but within 5 minutes of the town centre, it is the ideal resting place. There are several hiking trails and also a swimming place, Leliehoek is located against the mountain. We will visit the peaceful place again!
There was sufficent heating and we were comfortable in the heated beds, too. This was a delightful little gem in the Clarens mountains. We were comfortable in our accommodation. The oven just didn't work properly.

Friendly people, magnificent location - close to hiking trails and the most beautiful view. Real old farm loveliness - nothing commercial - enjoy it for what it is - wonderfully relaxing. Don't add TV or anything else - there aren't enough of these spots left.
Leliehoek is excellently located at the foot of the Clarens mountain with an excellent view. We were kindly received. Value for money is excellent for Clarens.
