Quiet surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, neat rooms!
Very nice place with good service. Also enjoyed a delicious breakfast.
The most beautiful view of Hartebeespoort Dam and surrounding area. The service was excellent with clean and tidy rooms. We also got breakfast which was delicious. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
We had a wonderful stay. Wish we could visit Leopard Lodge more often.
The unit I stayed in (Ingwe 20) was lovely! Very clean, beautiful views, comfy bed.
It was awesome! Such gorgeous views. Staff super helpful. Food delicious! Be warned there is wildlife in the rooms (i.e. squirrels), but we didn't mind them at all. The bushbabies were a plus. Just loved them.
We had a great time at Leopard Lodge!
We loved the privacy and view. The food and service were amazing. A special shout out to the staff members.
Very nice. Everything was clean and tidy. Friendly staff, good food. Had 2 special requests and they went "above and beyond".
We were a group of 13 and stayed at Khaya House. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the place.
Quiet and clean venue. Breakfast was top quality. Room was clean and the bed comfortable.
It is a very nice place had a very nice stay, the view is amazing, the food is fantastic and the service is exceptional.
We had a nice stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.
The best. Everyone welcomed us warmly.
Fabulous stay, we enjoyed every minute! Such a beautiful place so close to JHB. Perfect for a weekend getaway!
From the minute we walked in till the minute we departed, everything was amazing. From the receptionist to the waiters and kitchen staff. We highly recommend Leopard Lodge to all who want a break away. Felt like home away from home. The food served was absolutely out of this world. We had the beef carpaccio and the pap and wors kebabs along with our mains, which were oxtail. Thank you Leopard Lodge and staff. You will definitely see us soon again.
We had a nice stay, the view was beautiful.
Everything was perfect. All I would really suggest is that your beds are terribly uncomfortable and they are not king size as advertised on the website. Change it and we will check in again very often.
Peaceful, friendly staff and awesome view.
Very quiet and peaceful.
We had a wonderful time relaxing and resting in a beautiful and peaceful environment.
We stayed in Motswedi cottage and will definitely go there again! It's nice and tidy, the barbecue area outside is great and overlooks fields and mountains. Breakfast included, and it was the most beautiful and delicious breakfast and friendly service. Only thing that could possibly improve is the shower's water pressure, the current is only very fine and weak. Otherwise, great!
Yes, we had a very nice stay. Room was neat and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options are good with delicious portions.
Nice stay, but Leopard Lodge needs a bit of renovation.
Our stay was lovely. The staff were friendly, and the jacuzzi was ready for us when we arrived. Rooms were attended to each morning with clean towels every day.
There was no fridge for keeping water cold. No WiFi in the room. At that price I would expect solar backup for the load shedding.
Friendly and helpful staff. Accommodation was good, however some maintenance is required at the unit.
It was nice, but when we checked out, there was no one at reception. The things I booked in advance were never arranged. The Aircon soaked the bed. The people are very friendly, the food is very tasty and the places around were nice to visit.
Awesomely nice and comfortable. Pricing for food and drink is average to fair. Breakfast was freeken "lekker". The pool is just badly situated, right in front of the restaurant area. Thank you.
No WiFi in rooms but the stay was lovely, very peaceful - tucked away in the mountain with a splendid view of the dam. Perfect for warm nights because you can hang out in the spa bath and admire the night sky. They don't serve dinner on Thursday night but the place is close to many spots where you can grab dinner. The breakfast served was decent.
Relaxing with great view. Good service and friendly staff.
Very nice and private. Security also patrolled the night we weren't there. Bathroom light is out of order and the shower's weak pressure was the only ailment.
Staff were very friendly, our room was neat, and the breakfast was great!
We were very happy with the accommodation at Leopard Lodge. The service, staff, and food were great. What I liked is that it is close to Randburg, and we will definitely be booking again in the near future.
Nature is beautiful and location is very close to everything in Harties.
The stay was lovely, very clean.
The accommodation was clean and tidy. Our problem was the security, because there was no burglar alarm and the house was far from the lodge itself, but close to the road. The bathroom light kept going on and off, and the plug in the room didn't work. So we couldn't use the heater and got bitterly cold. Other than that, we were happy. The place was clean, the nature beautiful, and the food at the lodge where you eat breakfast was delicious.
The stay was nice, but for the price you pay, I would not recommend coming to sleep here. The house we were in had squirrels moving around all the time and making a terrible mess inside the house. While you sleep, twigs fall on you and (unfortunately) their excrement as well. You can't keep food there either, because they take it out of the packages/boxes. The jacuzzi was not cleaned or full when we arrived. They also did not clean the rooms on Saturday. The people are really friendly, and we had a great time talking to them. I requested that they set us 'anniversary' snacks and drinks in the room, which they did not do.
Enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, just no dustbin in room to put rubbish in, no wine glasses, and the shower head was leaking badly. But otherwise had a great time.
The views and food were amazing. Lost points because I could not get hold of anyone on the numbers provided one day before my arrival and no one bothered to call me back. I did not get my requested picnic basket, which made my visit sour. I also requested a blanket in the room during the night as there are no blankets in the rooms, and was told that no one was around to assist me. No WiFi, no TV. All of these are disappointing because the place really is a beautiful place and I would want other people to visit.
The location and scenery are stunning. Sadly, our overall experience once we confirmed our booking on Lekkerslaap was tainted. We did not receive follow-up communication from the lodge prior to check-in and arrival. I attempted to phone the lodge more than 12 times to enquire whether early check-in would be possible, but ultimately, there was no answer during these initial attempts to contact the lodge. Eventually, I managed to contact somebody who could not explain why they could not answer any of their provided numbers without guests having to call them excessively. They arranged an early check-in. . Once we arrived, the front-of-house staff was not ready to welcome us at reception. In fact, we waited for more than 10 minutes before having to personally go and find a staff member to assist us. Despite this, no apology was given. . We left our room to attend breakfast on the morning of our check-out (explained to us as 10:00). We arrived back at our room at 09:00 to find the cleaning staff already cleaning the room for the next guests. They had moved all of our possessions onto the floor and left us with a room that was now in complete disarray, with no linen and half of the items (bedding, etc. ) packed away. We complained to the staff directly and then to the [presumed] manager, who could not explain to us why our privacy was infringed on by their staff in what was clearly an attempt to work ahead of their schedule, despite the fact that guests (us) had not yet checked-out. . The restaurant's food and service were great, but the remainder of our experience was displeasing, to say the least, especially with the price of the units for each night. The lodge is in need of general maintenance, with lights on the footpaths and walkways not working and the aircon in the unit not functioning properly. We will sadly not return until such time as we hear of better reviews.
Very friendly staff and the service was truly top class.
I will love to come back to the place.
The view from the rooms is great. Break away from the hustle and bustle of life and give yourself some time off. Treat yourself and spend a weekend there.
A very refreshing place, quiet, private and romantic place.
The views are amazing, the service is excellent and the environment is quiet. Had a good rest. Will definitely return.
The devil is in the details. Our unit had a jacuzzi but when running with the bubbles it tripped the power. A small fridge in the room would be nice. Everything else was great.
We will definitely visit again, the service was very good and the staff were friendly, it's a very beautiful and peaceful place. We enjoyed it very much!
It was pleasant - although the wooden unit we stayed in was very close to the other unit which was quite distracting as the other guests were loud and we could hear their radio playing. We called the after hours number but got no answer. The guests happily settled down at 11 o'clock.
Would like to come back to do the day hike.
The hot tub was one for the books. The cleanliness struck me, very neat and clean.
There are small things that could be improved, but it was still a good experience. The mosquito net over the bed has lots of holes in it, so it just needs to be replaced. The Jacuzzi can only provide heat when the bubbles are on. There is no statement to turn on the heat and turn off the bubbles (the buttons no longer work 100%). The breakfast was nice. Although, the power went out just before we ordered. I ordered the normal breakfast with toast and a potato dish. I did receive my breakfast without toast and the potato dish. I had to ask the waiter what was the reason for this and he said with the power off they couldn't make it for me. It's a bit of a disappointment. I believe they should warn the guests in advance about what cannot be made in the kitchen when the power is off. Furthermore, I was more than satisfied with the whole experience. The room's view is stunning! The privacy of the unit is great! We were able to have a late check out, which only added to the wonderful visit. The unit was very clean and the size was just perfect for the getaway!
Location is high on a mountain with a nice view of the dam. Not much to do, for a night's sleep it is sufficient. WiFi is only available in the restaurant.
Accommodation is very good, dinner is quite expensive for the amount of food you get, but was very tasty.
While the stay was pleasant, the unit did not meet the expectations set by the high nightly rate. Security was a concern.
It's a nice view and a lovely place.
We had overseas visitors for business from Spain. They absolutely loved it and could not say thank you enough. They wanted to take pictures and say this is how you do business in Africa. They really appreciated the beauty. Thank you. My husband and I would definitely be back for a relaxing weekend without kids.
Our stay was relaxing with great views. The service was great as well. We really enjoyed our stay. It was just what we needed for a quick getaway from the city.
The two guards at the gate - both have big smiles and so friendly. Reception by Leon - what a lovely person. Colin indulged in G&T and room service. The included breakfast was a winner every morning. 11 out of 10 for everyone at Leopard Lodge.
Customer service was phenomenal - the team really goes above and beyond for their guests. The room was lovely and kept neat and clean. Loved the time there and will definitely return.
Wow where do you start. Everything was perfect from the start. Great service, room was very nice and clean upon our arrival and the workers are friendly. Room has a panic button and there are guards with dogs to make sure it's safe. Food was heavenly, finally thanks for the web page too, you guys are great.
The staff at Leopard Lodge are very friendly and provide outstanding service. The location is fantastic and the view breathtaking. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, very good variety on the menu and would definitely recommend. Accommodation was neat and clean. Beautiful gardens and neat premises.
We had such a nice stay at Leopard Lodge. They approved our request to check in earlier and all the staff were very friendly. Our unit, Motswedi is perfect for a grain with children. Large lawn, away from other guests, beautiful view and clean. My only recommendation would be that the loft's rails should be closed a little. All in all a great experience! We will definitely visit again.
My husband and I really enjoyed the view and tranquility. The breakfast was also very nice.
Will stay there again, the view is very nice.
Breakaway with a true bushveld feel and nice views. The restaurant has a limited menu but the food was tasty. There were a few issues with our accommodation: the shower drain was blocked, the outside light did not work, when it rained we discovered 4 water leaks in our unit and the towels provided are small. When one pays that amount of money you expect better and I feel there are cheaper accommodation options in the area which provides more bang for your buck.
Nice romantic getaway, restaurant tops, good food service. Unfortunately we were there in level 4, however they still catered for us with 0% drinks. Good idea.
Good place. Excellent service.
Super friendly staff. Details units with picture beautiful views.
Very nice environment with amazingly good and personal service, what a team!
The jacuzzi and view were of course the highlight! The food was surprisingly good - would recommend the Pork Ribs and Oxtail. Unfortunately it was pouring rain when we got there - without help carrying our bags up to our room through the mud was quite a story! There was a rat that came through the roof and came to eat our food in the evening. Fortunately, we found it comical. Would suggest not leaving any food in the room - our packet of travel biscuits was still sealed - the rat bit right through it! Other than that, I would highly recommend Leopard Lodge. The service was great, view breathtaking and it is centrally located.
Marilize was a fantastic hostess. The view is delightful. Just make sure you arrange in advance what you intend to do with your visit as the restaurant and bar sometimes close early, depending on the amount of bookings, but if you want to arrange sundowners in advance they will accommodate you. If you don't arrange you may be disappointed. The website may be misleading. We will definitely visit Leopard Lodge again.
See stars.
The Motswedi house we stayed in was completely secluded and we were able to experience the animals that moved and grazed near the house. The people really went out of their way and made it pleasant for us.
Very nice and clean. We stayed in Phumula. Very nice but we wanted to use the Jacuzzi, but on Sunday when we left the Jacuzzi was still freezing cold! Very friendly staff!
Traveling with a toddler is not easy. Leopard Lodge really accommodated us.
We had no glasses in the room. The roof of the bathroom/shower was full of "black mould". In the pictures the place looks beautiful and it certainly has a lot of potential, but little attention is given. Unfortunately expected more for the price one pays. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Client service was of the highest standards and all staff were excellent. The food was also of the highest quality.
Would have liked to have a TV and small fridge in the room. Other than that there is nothing to complain about.
It was a wonderful getaway weekend, the service is excellent and everyone there makes you feel very welcome. Will definitely book again and break away for a weekend.
The perfect getaway we needed, very peaceful, excellent view and incredibly friendly staff. The food was particularly tasty and will definitely use their service again.
Great treat for us, thank you very much!
Really needed the getaway with my wife and was able to stay without any hassle and was so professionally helped.
The service, meals, location, accommodation and infrastructure (fantastic restaurant and chalets) were all just excellent. I would definitely recommend and advertise Leopard Lodge. Thank you very much for your hospitality, it is appreciated.
The breakfast is top notch, the people are very friendly and helpful and the nature is incredibly beautiful. Really enjoyed it and would definitely go again. I suggest it to anyone.
We had the best time ever, can't wait to go back.
As was excellent. Would recommend it to any couple for a getaway.
Our room was neat and had a beautiful view of the dam. The breakfast the next morning was very tasty and I would recommend that people go there.
Very pleasant evening's stay. Good value for money.
It was really fantastic. Not far to drive from the city, yet feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life!
Fantastic experience, friendly staff and beautiful views.
Fantastic getaway with an incredible view!
