Letlapa Metsi Lodge is a stunning eco-friendly off-the-grid striking self-catering architectural home that has been designed for entertaining, set on 7-hectares of land with over 120 m of private Vaal dam waterfront. The property is architect-designed and is situated on a game farm with a free-roaming game around the property.
The home can accommodate a maximum of 15 guests and contains 5 bedroom suites in the main house which share 3 bathrooms and a guest toilet, and there is an additional outside en-suite guest suite. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed, a cot and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower, twin washbasins and an enclosed toilet. The second, third and fourth bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed. The fifth bedroom contains a queen-size bed and a bunk bed. The second and third bathrooms each contain a bath and a shower, a toilet and twin washbasins. The outside guest suite contains a double bed, a single sleeper couch, and its own en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower, a toilet and twin washbasins. All rooms have full-height glass doors that open onto the garden with unobstructed views over the Vaal dam.
The kitchen, living room and games room are open-plan. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a stove and oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher, and cutlery and crockery. The lounge contains comfortable couches and a flat-screen TV with a full DStv bouquet and is fitted with a Chromecast for streaming. Free capped Wi-Fi is available. The house has a built-in bar and games room that form part of the main entertainment space. The games room contains a pool table and a fireplace. The living room, kitchen, and games room all open up with glass stacking doors on 2 sides to the expansive patio with majestic elevated views over the Vaal dam.
A stunning boma, braai, and pizza oven all sit adjacent to the stunning rim-flow pool and large covered patio comfortably seating 14.
The site has 120 m of private waterfront. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat and enjoy everything the Vaal dam has to offer. Unfortunately, the house does not have a slipway but has an extension arm for guests to use to launch their boats in front of the property. Boats are launched at the owner's own risk.

House rules
The property is on a farm and the last 5 km are on dirt roads, generally, the roads are in great condition but after excessive rains, the roads do get very muddy and 4x4 access is advisable.The house is powered by means of solar panels and batteries.
The house has enough battery and power capacity for all guests to enjoy a comfortable stay but please use electricity sparingly and do not waste otherwise guests will be sitting in the dark early in the evening. Unfortunately, lengthy periods of bad weather do affect power availability and for this, there is a backup generator. If the power does go off generally Once more, the caretaker, will start the generator automatically.
The use of heaters is strictly prohibited.
Please note the house does not have a microwave due to the high power consumption.
All the water is derived from a borehole on the property. The water has been tested and it is safe to drink, however, it does have an earthy taste so bring your own bottled water if you are fussy about your water.
There is an ice machine located at the bar. It needs to be manually filled with water and does produce ice slowly, so for large groups, it is advisable to bring extra ice.
We will have the ice machine full upon your arrival.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house and must be done on the patio or in the garden.
Please don’t leave cigarette butts lying around, ash trays are provided.
Wi-Fi is free to all guests, please use it sparingly as it is capped.
The patio and living room have speakers fitted. The property is on a game farm so please don’t play music excessively loudly.
Parties are not allowed to be hosted at the property. The house has a capacity of 15 people. The total number of guests may not exceed 15 without prior arrangements. This includes additional day visitors.
Firewood is provided free to all guests. If guests use an excessively large quantity of wood guests will be charged for extra wood used.
Please only use the wood provided at the fireplace for internal use as it is properly dried.
Please do not use the briquets.
The house has a swimming pool, and it is not fenced nor does it have a net. Guests use the swimming pool at their own risk and all children must be supervised around the pool at all times. The hosts do not take any responsibility for any incidents that may occur.
There are ducks, chickens, rabbits and Guinea pigs on the property. Guests are welcome to visit them but please ensure all gates to the enclosure are closed upon exit and entry. Please do not chase or catch the animals. They will come to you if you take them treats and sit quietly.
The house doesn’t have any curtains to enhance the indoor-outdoor feel of the home. The property is completely private as there are no nearby neighbours.
