Lovely place. Rooms and self-catering facilities very good. Peaceful atmosphere and friendly service throughout. Red Ox Restaurant is excellent and you simply cannot find better food between the Cape and Windhoek! Definitely worth an overnight stop on the route to the north. Child friendly and nice grass to play on. Outside shower a winner. And the church on site is also very special. Highly recommend it.

We had a great stay at Letsatsi Lodge. The only problem was that the restaurant was closed but it was on New Year's Day. There are not many restaurants in town and the one that was there was also closed. We bought the tastiest pies at the deli in town. The breakfast in the restaurant the next morning was very nice.

Pleasant stay. However, our reservation did not reflect on the Lodge's system. The room allocated was not ready and we had a lengthy wait. We were given coffee and after dinner liqueur as compensation.

Very nice and well looked after. Large enough to appreciate your space and surroundings, units have few amenities. No rags tongs etc. Grill stands and grid are extra.

Letsatsi Lodge is a clean and tidy lodge, close to the N7. Rooms are neat and spacious and bathroom is neat and clean. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful night before venturing further down the road.

This was our 2nd visit to Letsatsi, and we would highly recommend it to any couple and families. Excellent service, best buffet meal in the area. The chalets are unique and have everything you would need for a nice overnight stay. The outdoor shower is nice on those hot summer days. We will visit again.

Will definitely go to Letsatsi Lodge again, everything was top notch, absolutely can't fault anything or say anything negative. Wonderfully over.
The receipt and settlement of payment went smoothly. I casually asked if there wasn't someone who could wash my car outside, since I drove a lot on dirt roads. No problem. The next morning, while we ate the delicious buffet breakfast, my car was beautifully washed! And the restaurant, the Red Ox is amazing. I could eat lamb neck for 3 days - fall-off-the-bone-soft. We put meat that we bought on our "road trip" in the freezer on the open porch for the night and everything was safe there, the next day. Really worth going there for a weekend getaway.
Our unit was very clean and luxurious with a nice setting. It was the right choice to sleep here on the way to the north.
Letsatsi is clean, tidy and very well managed. We had a choice of dishes for dinner delivered to our room and the next morning the breakfast was packed and in the fridge which was in the braai area just outside the bedroom. The gardens and grounds were well maintained and this was certainly not our last stay in Letsatsi. We highly recommend it.

Porch is very nice, but no hot water at only sink. Lounge has only 2 chairs for 4 people. Second bedroom has no hanging space, no mirror and no bedside table and no bedside lights. Beds were lovely. Master bedroom has lovely bed and dim lights that you can't read by. Entrance very small. Toilet area is very small. No dry area in shower. Sink in living room. Ouch!

The staff is incredibly helpful. There is so much attention to detail, the barbecue equipment available, the wood and ice provided. We really appreciated it. The food in the restaurant was tasty and well served. We will definitely visit Letsatsi again.
It's the third time I've stayed there and I've never been disappointed.
This was our second visit to Letsatsi and we enjoyed it as always. The self-catering units are a bit poorly equipped as far as kitchen utensils go. There is a need for scissors, sharp knives, washing-up sponges and drying cloths. The doors on all 3 of the units we had (14, 15 and 16) hang crooked and therefore make a lot of noise when you open and close them. It would also not be a bad idea to be able to cover the porch with canvas tarps. It was very cold and raining and not pleasant to sit outside and barbecue. We love Letsatsi and will go back again if only for the milk food.
The lodge is very nicely laid out and although the location is right next to the N7 highway, it still has a feeling of peace and quiet. The accommodation is neat and comfortable, the drivers very nice and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

A definite must when you are in the vicinity.
There are some things that bother. Should please don't start cutting grass just after 07:00 in the morning around the houses where we still lie a bit waiting for the flowers to open. We are on vacation! The luxury cottages definitely offer more value for money than the "tentsail side" cottages. It can't cost the same! The barbecue area is a fiasco, especially when the west wind blows, definitely a design problem. The on-site restaurant is a winner and definitely recommended. It's always a shame that small things can negatively affect a wonderful visit.
Only issue I encountered is that my unit had no hot water.
In my opinion, Letsatsi Vanrhynsdorp has changed from an overnight stop to a holiday village! We will be back next time with the whole family. Very nice stay as well as eaten! The rooms were large and very well equipped (TV, aircon, fridge etc.).
What a unique place to stay. Everything was 5 star. We will come and stay again in the oasis in the semi-desert. Would recommend Letsatsi for families and couples.
Letsatsi is everything one expects and more. Everything is stylishly furnished and the units are private and well furnished (a bowl to put barbecue meat in would be welcome though). The gardens are particularly beautiful. The restaurant is exceptional. The decor, the service and the food are all of excellent quality.

I had to beg for every service. I wasn't allowed to get an extra blanket. I had to give a speech for me to get it. I couldn't even get my shirt ironed. I was told I must give it to someone else to iron. No one irons my clothes. I washed with cold water and there was no communication why that was the case. Where is the contingency plan? Why is service to the guest broken?

We were pleasantly surprised by the little oasis on the side of the road. Nothing as nice as arriving at a place like Letsatsi when you are dead tired after a long day of travel. Friendly people, staff, clean and very beautiful houses and the view takes your breath away. Eating place can also definitely be recommended. We would recommend the place anytime and they will definitely see us again on our travels.
We were truly surprised to see the place. Everything was nice and tidy and the service was great. However, I didn't expect, for the money you pay, to get a duvet cover with a large store hook on our bed, it was very disappointing. Other than that, had no complaints.

We spent 6 nights at Letsatsi, and cannot wait to return! The luxury tent chalet was just perfect for us. The setting is beautiful, peaceful and just superb! The accommodation has everything I would want and that many other accommodation do not have. For example, a TV with DStv channels such as KykNET. It also includes a carport for your vehicle, as well as a large bathroom with a large shower. Perhaps a ladies bath could be considered instead. extra shower. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever experienced.
The front door needs some urgent attention. Think of closing in the veranda with a canvas.

Only problem is the weak WiFi. For foreign guests who do not use "roaming", WiFi is essential.
Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night, but enjoyed it very much. It's a beautiful place and the staff very friendly and helpful. The tasty food is also a bonus and was delicious.
Slept very well and one of the few places that has the KykNET TV channel - big plus. The patio, kitchen and braai area can do with a window at the braai to stop the wind. Mosquito repellent in room will also help, there were many mosquitoes. Red OX Restaurant's food and breakfast were very tasty.
The part that consists of the kitchen and the braai is very windy and cold at night - braai is not good at all, too much wind. It would be advisable to install roller blinds (of tent material) to guard against the wind.

Very calm and quiet. Owners might just plan with mosquito nets or Doom and make sure there are enough plates and cutlery for the number of people who can stay per unit. Maybe just specify more clearly which units have braai facilities and which don't. Furthermore, everything was very neat and clean. Perfect for an overnight stop.

Since we were checked into the honeymoon suite, we expected everything to be in perfect condition, however the ceiling in the bathroom had a very obvious crack, and the cover over the opening through which you would get into the ceiling, was in two pieces. When we reported this to reception, the reply was that nobody must have noticed. The "she bags" container was empty, and the all-over feeling of squeaky clean was missing. We had supper in the Red Ox, asked for the left over of the skaapnek to take away, and when we opened the polystyrene holder the next day, there were bones from a skaapstertjie-meal. Obviously the wrong plate cleaned into a take away-holder. Very disappointing! We could not rectify, since we only discovered this at our next destination.
No linen on beds on arrival. Had to call for linen! On arrival the rooms were freezing cold. There were no towels. We had to call 3 times and ask for towels until they were brought 4 hours later. The excuse was that there are no dry towels due to the rain.

So impressed with this lodge and the Red Ox Restaurant we booked here on the way back from our holiday as well. If you have a choice do not book right on te highway - a bit noisy as trucks change gear.
We would recommend Letsatsi Lodge anytime. It's clean, comfortable, has the nicest restaurant to eat at and my kids are still talking about the hot milk food with breakfast in the cold winter! The outdoor kitchen may be impractical in the winter, but you don't really need it because there is a nice restaurant on site. The location is great for exploring surrounding areas, including the quiver forest and the West Coast. Friendly, helpful staff.

If you keep the accommodation affordable we will definitely contact you first for accommodation and our friends will also hear about this fantastic gem in our own country around the barbecue fires. We spent a night at the lodge and we truly enjoyed it. It's neat with the option of self-catering and the lodge is well mantained. The breakfast at Red Ox, the onsite restaurant, was lovely. An excellent place to stop over.
It's a nice and very clean place, we had to book 2 rooms because the Family Room wasn't available, but it wasn't much more expensive. The only thing that was a bit funny is that the soap that was in the rooms was filled too much and the bottles didn't look nice anymore!
This was my second time at Letsatsi Lodge. And I will definitely be back. Wonderful warm receptin, cold bottled water (so nice after the hot day!) The entire lodge is well layed out and very well maintianed. The rooms have are equipped with everything you need in the kitchen area.

I enjoyed my one night stay at Letsatsi Lodge, I was pleasantly surprised. Well equipped accommodation, clean with a welcoming feel. Lovely gardens and pool area. Good restaurant with quality produce and excellent wine selection.
The traffic on the busy N7 was extremely disruptive throughout the night. I slept little.
Reception could not find our booking. The unit was not fully prepared. We were charged full price for the sofa bed, had to ask for the bedding, we had to make it up and it was not clean. We weren't given the option to cancel breakfast, as we were leaving very early so asked, twice, for a small breakfast to be prepared to take with us - this was not done. Some staff were very friendly and helpful, but others were less than friendly. The shower blocked and flooded our unit. The shower door is just a swing door so could not be locked. Etc. Although most other people seemed happy with the place (beautiful setting, lovely buildings and surroundings etc.), we seemed to be unlucky and were quite disappointed.

We stayed with 2 Maltesers in the unit specially designed for pets. There were even food bowls and pillows provided for the dogs in the unit! There is also a specially enclosed lawn for the pets. The unit was very clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. We have meat (barbecue packs), wood etc. bought at the reception and grilled in the built-in braai place on the unit's stoep. Even the meat was of excellent quality. There is also a restaurant on site. Letsatsi was only recently built and therefore new and modern. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. We will specially drive around Vanrhynsdorp to be able to spend the night at Letsatsi again! The Maltesers too!

It's a beautiful place, nice decor and practical layout. Rooms spacious and tidy. And modern decor fits well with surroundings. One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Excellent service and food was top notch. Will definitely go back there again. It would be great to see ducks on the pond in the future and some chickens walking around between houses, to add to the warmth and "country feeling".

It was our first time and we will definitely stay there again. The church on the premises is beautiful and makes it extra special. Letsatsi creates a feeling of a luxurious farm, in very beautiful surrounds. Accommodation is clean and neat.

Stunning lodge, but not practical for 2 couples sharing the unit - because of the bathroom facilities.
Previous guests' dishes still in the sink, leftovers still in the fridge, dirty robes rolled up in the cupboard, floors not yet washed, outside shower drain blocked, outdoor bath not yet connected as advertised, no water pipes, TV out of order. The restaurant was great though.

The lodge offers guests a choice of chalets that can accommodate between 2 to 4 people. The lodge specializes in weddings, birthday parties, and other functions which they host in their on-site function venue to a capacity of 150 to 200 delegates.
