Located on the first floor and accessed by an elevator, the air-conditioned apartment does not have a sea view, and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge.
The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and a toilet. The other 2 bedrooms, each contains 2 single beds, and share the use of a bathroom with a shower, a bath, and a toilet. For convenience, linen and bath towels are provided, and guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table.
Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, and opens onto the patio which overlooks the lovely rock garden.
The complex offers direct access to the beach, and guests have access to the communal swimming pool, braai area, and laundry facilities. Secure parking is provided, and a security guard keeps a watchful eye. The apartment is cleaned daily, except on Sundays and public holidays. Note that dishes are not washed. Pets are not welcome.
Umhlanga offers beautiful beaches for shell searching, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle-boarding, view the annual Sardine Run between May and July, as well as various golf courses and hiking trails. Guests can visit attractions such as the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve, the indigenous woodland of Hawaan Forest, the Beachwood Mangrove Nature Reserve, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, the Umhlanga lighthouse, the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom, and the various restaurants, pubs and shopping centres.

7 guests' feedbackFantastic experience from check-in to departure. Access to the promenade made beach walk an absolute pleasure. Clean apartment and comfortable beds. Appliances, crockery and cutlery all in working condition.
The kitchen is very small.
Please fix the taps, they were too hard to open and close and make sure there's a mop and broom all the time. I understand you clean the apartment during the week. Should tenants spill water on the floor there must be something to mop the floors with. There was no Wi-Fi. Please install Wi-Fi.
It was just the right place for the last getaway holiday to get yourself ready for the new year ahead.
Overall, the venue was awesome. Just the service from the lady at reception was disappointing. We requested a late check out, but instead of the requested 10 am, we received a message that we must be out by 9:30 am the following day. The back and forth wasn't pleasant, considering prior arrangements were made. We also found that there were missing beer glasses and a side plate. We're not even sure if there was anything else missing, which is disappointing considering you are expected to pay a breakage deposit. I recommend that someone walks through with guests on the day of check-in to ensure there aren't any missing items that are on the list. They are the ones who know where things are packed. Additionally, when I called for a pre-check-in, before I could even ask my question, the person who answered the phone said I cannot get early check-in, even though that wasn't even the reason for my call.
Everything was the way we wanted it.
Needs a bit of upgrade.
