Located on the third floor and accessed by an elevator, the air-conditioned apartment has a lovely sea view from the lounge and the main bedroom, and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge.
The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and a toilet. The other 2 bedrooms, each contains 2 single beds, and share the use of a bathroom with a shower, a bath, and a toilet. For convenience, linen and bath towels are provided, and guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table.
Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, and opens onto the furnished patio which overlooks the ocean.
The complex offers direct access to the beach, and guests have access to the communal swimming pool, braai area, and laundry facilities. Secure parking is provided, and a security guard keeps a watchful eye. The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and public holidays, and unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated.
Umhlanga offers beautiful beaches for shell searching, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle-boarding, view the annual Sardine Run between May and July, as well as various golf courses and hiking trails. Guests can visit attractions such as the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve, the indigenous woodland of Hawaan Forest, the Beachwood Mangrove Nature Reserve, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, the Umhlanga lighthouse, the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom, and the various restaurants, pubs and shopping centres.

11 guests' feedbackAlthough I have rated this 5 stars, it is not a 5-star establishment. It is clean and the location is excellent, right on the beachfront. The view is lovely and it's the perfect place for a family stay, as it is spacious. There is typical wear and tear you often find in coastal places, rust on the stove, etc. I would 100% recommend this place for value and location.
This was our 1st visit to the North Coast and will definitely be going back again. Safety and cleanliness stood out.

We really enjoyed our stay. The parking was just a bit hard as we went with a double cab bakkie, but I'm sure that if we requested to switch parkings, the lovely and helpful staff would have tried their best to accommodate us. The bathrooms were very neat. Excellent view. Close to amenities and right on the beach. Really appreciated that someone services the apartment daily to clean. Loved the spacious apartment.
The staff was very friendly. The walls do need some paint and perhaps modern furniture for the apartment. Like a modernised, overall upgrade. Other than that, everything was livable. Thank you very much.
Flew down to spend time with my grandchild son and daughter loved the place perfect location clean and spacious value for money pity we couldn't swim in the sea and pool too cold the weekend. Will be back. Thank you so much.
Licorna Beach's location was perfect and the view was fantastic. The proximity of the pool as well as the fact that the unit overlooked the pool made it very comfortable. The unit does need attention: Bathroom door has been removed/gone. Sliding door handles are broken. Kitchen cupboard hinges are broken. Aircon works but cannot be set. Sometimes blows cold, other times not.
Located in the ideal environment, and has a fantastic sea view.
Lovely place, spacious with ideal location, just on the swimming beach plus close to shops yet have amazing sea views. A few small issues which we were not made aware of: main en suite does not have a door (since there is no shower, it was practically impossible to use this bathroom), washing of dishes is not included in daily servicing of flats (no dishwasher or washing machine), no iron or ironing board (apparently OHS applies which makes no sense since there are other electrical appliances in the flat).
