Located on the fifth floor and accessed by an elevator, the air-conditioned apartment has a sea view and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge.
The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and a toilet. Two of the bedrooms each contain 2 single beds, and a double bed in the living room. The rooms share the use of a bathroom with a bath, a shower, and a toilet. For convenience, linen and bath towels are provided, and guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the 8-seater dining table.
Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, and opens onto a large patio.
The complex offers direct access to the beach, and guests have access to the communal swimming pool, braai area, and laundry facilities. Secure parking is provided, and a security guard keeps a watchful eye. The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and public holidays. Dishes are not done daily and unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated.
Umhlanga offers beautiful beaches for shell searching, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle-boarding, view the annual Sardine Run between May and July, as well as various golf courses and hiking trails. Guests can visit attractions such as the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve, the indigenous woodland of Hawaan Forest, the Beachwood Mangrove Nature Reserve, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, the Umhlanga lighthouse, the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom, and the various restaurants, pubs and shopping centres.

Close to the beach, safe to walk, and clean bathrooms at the beach!
The apartment was walking distance from the main beach. The area felt safe, and a security guard was always roaming the apartment block. We enjoyed using their braai facilities. Our apartment had a lovely few of the ocean from the balcony. There is nothing better than having breakfast on the balcony with your friends and family while having the beautiful sight of the ocean in the corner of your eyes and the soothing sound of the waves in your ears.
We were very happy and it was perfect. I wish I could have it next time and I will recommend the place with no hesitation. Only 1 thing that was not right: in my room the aircon was not working. But the place 100%.
Flat could do with an upgrade, but it was very clean and very comfortable.
Walking distance from beach. Friendly and helpful ladies. Clean and tidy. Toilet leaked and was fixed within minutes. Thank you Marie, for your kind reception. Will definitely visit you again.
Just needs a gas grill on the porch. Have to go downstairs to grill every time.
We had a good and enjoyable holiday throughout our stay at Licorna Beach.
Upon arrival, there was electricity in the apartment, the moment I turned on the air conditioner it burned out the mains switch. I tried calling the owner telekemales, but they didn't answer and then later switched off their phones. I called the emergency number and the representative also tried his best to get hold of the owner. Early Saturday morning, the representative called me to say that they still couldn't get hold of the owner. I took up the matter with the caretaker of Licorna, she then arranged for an electrician to come out. The electrician arrived around 11:30 am and restored the electricity. The owner of the unit did compensate us at the end of the day with R600 for the inconvenience. I was just very disappointed that you couldn't get hold of anyone for help after hours.
If the pricing is as affordable during peak season, I would definitely consider booking in at Licorna Beach Vakansie.

The Flat is in a state of dis-repair with mould in the bedrooms in various places, so much that the paint is peeling of the walls in a few places, the main bedroom's bathroom did not have a handel on the door so you cannot close it. The second bathroom's floor was wet all the time. The air-con duct runs right below the concrete causing condensation on the floor. When the people below run their air-con, you cannot be in the 2nd bedroom as the AC unit is right at your window making a noise. The people in the unit below us made such a noice in the afternoon we would have to complain. This happened twice, fortunately we left after that. What a great location but a very badly maintained unit. There are many better places to stay for the same money.
