The sixth floor apartment is accessed by an elevator, and has a lovely sea view. The duplex apartment is air-conditioned and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge.
Located on the first floor, the main bedroom has a sea view and is furnished with a queen-size bed. The room also has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, and a toilet. There are 2 bedrooms, one of which has a sea view, 2 single beds, and share the use of a bathroom with a bath, and a toilet. A bunk bed for 2 people, as well as a guest toilet, is located in the living area on the ground floor. For convenience, linen and bath towels are provided, and guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The ground floor living area comprises the open-plan kitchen which is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table, or relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels. The living area opens onto a patio.
The complex offers direct access to the beach, and guests have access to the communal swimming pool, braai area, and laundry facilities. Secure parking is provided, and a security guard keeps a watchful eye. The apartment is cleaned daily, except on Sundays and public holidays. Note that dishes are not washed. Pets are not welcome.
Umhlanga offers beautiful beaches for shell searching, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle-boarding, view the annual Sardine Run between May and July, as well as various golf courses and hiking trails. Guests can visit attractions such as the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve, the indigenous woodland of Hawaan Forest, the Beachwood Mangrove Nature Reserve, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, the Umhlanga lighthouse, the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom, and the various restaurants, pubs and shopping centres.

We enjoyed our stay at Licorna Beach Vakansie Woonstel 60, except one toilet that was leaking and one light in the dining room area that was not working. Other than that, everything was perfect. The place is clean and managed by friendly staff. The apartments are within walking distance of uMhlanga Sands and Ocean Mall, as well as the beach. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

All self-catering units that we have stayed in before claimed to include a cleaning service, including washing dishes. We were surprised that this was not included as part of the service. Not that we mind washing dishes, but when a unit is advertised as serviced and there are exclusions, it should be stated upfront. The unit is a little tired and needs some TLC. I cannot fault the location and position of the property at all. We enjoyed the balcony and the great views.
Very nice stay for the 9 days. The staff were helpful. Unfortunately the lift was not working when we arrived, but was repaired shortly afterwards. Nice sea view. Very spacious apartment. WiFi was not available, and this will be welcome for the future. Being able to barbecue on the balcony would also be welcome.
Place is beautiful, especially unit 60. It has awesome views. We found that we were missing glasses. I think there should be a staff member who welcomes guests and does a walk-through to ensure that everything listed on the inventory sheet is indeed in the room. You are charged a breakage deposit, but a walk-through with the guest is not done to ensure that we are all on the same page. The parking area is also not great; there was a big car parked in the parking bay next to 60, leaving us with not enough space to park. However, thank you for assisting with alternative parking. I think 9:30 is early for checkout. We had requested a late checkout in advance, but the reception was not very helpful. We had only requested an extra 30 minutes but were left feeling unassisted. This was very disappointing, considering housekeeping could easily start with other spaces that had not asked for late check out.
Overall we had a nice stay. Apartment needs some attention. Hallway upstairs was unusable - was broken. Rooms' curtains already look faded and old. It would be good if guests could get free Wi-Fi as most accommodation and dining places offer it for free.
Very safe, friendly and helpful staff. Best view and very close to walk. We enjoyed the stay, the pool and braai area. Friendly security at gate. A 10/10 for our stay we will see you soon.
Licorna Beach Vakansie Woonstel 60 was just perfect for a group of 8! The view was breathtaking!
Would definitely love to bring my family over holidays.
Perfect for our sports group. Group of canoe athletes. Perfect accommodation for our purposes. Clean, tidy and very well priced.
Number 60 is a gem. Most incredible view day and night. This double-story is fully equipped, clean and comfortable. The direct beach access also makes it very convenient. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and will definitely be back soon.

Fantastic, beautiful view from a wonderful and comfortable unit, with direct access to the beach and beautiful walking area. The best of all is that the apartment is not between the masses of people and busy apartment areas, but aside and the best area in Umhlanga. My fondest memory of Licorna Beach Apartment 60 is that you wake up and the first thing you see is the Sea! Absolutely fantastic experience and will be back again!
I initially wanted to book a unit on 3rd floor, but the unit was not available anymore. Unit 60 was, I had to pay more, but huge was my surprise when it turned out to be a double storey unit on the top floor! I want to go back one day!
