Located on the sixth floor and accessed by an elevator, the air-conditioned duplex apartment has a partial sea view, and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge.
Located on the first floor, the main bedroom opens onto a patio with a partial sea view, and is furnished with a queen-size bed. The room also has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, a bath, and a toilet.
The other 2 bedrooms each contain 2 single beds, and share the use of a bathroom with a bath, and a toilet. A bunk bed for 2 people, as well as a guest toilet, is located in the living area on the ground floor. For convenience, linen and bath towels are provided, and guests please need to bring their own swimming towels.
The ground floor living area comprises the open-plan kitchen which is equipped with a stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table.
Guests can relax in the lounge which is equipped with a TV with selected DStv channels, and opens onto the patio which offers guests a partial sea view.
The complex offers direct access to the beach, and guests have access to the communal swimming pool, braai area, and laundry facilities. Secure parking is provided, and a security guard keeps a watchful eye. The apartment is serviced daily except on Sundays and public holidays, and unfortunately, pets cannot be accommodated.
Umhlanga offers beautiful beaches for shell searching, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, paddle-boarding, view the annual Sardine Run between May and July, as well as various golf courses and hiking trails. Guests can visit attractions such as the Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve, the indigenous woodland of Hawaan Forest, the Beachwood Mangrove Nature Reserve, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, the Umhlanga lighthouse, the Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom, and the various restaurants, pubs and shopping centres.

The hospitality is of a high level. I like the reception arrangements for late arrival, which are of a high standard.
Great apartment just needs better outside furniture.
Few maintenance items that could be looked at in the unit, but overall was an awesome stay.

Please consider patio furniture for comfortable seating as well as either a large umbrella or awning to enanble sitting outside.
