I booked on short notice. Linda got in touch to find out what time we were coming and was there to receive us immediately. She informed us well about the loadshedding and so we were all showered and ready to sleep when the power went out. The unit has a lovely patio and everyone was well rested the next morning to travel on.

Exterior unkept, untidy. Broken window, light fitting and bedside lamp, no gate motor / lock so would have felt safer with a security gate on the only door. All contributed to a concern over cleanliness.

Linda's guest room is more than just that. It is a small self-catering apartment with plenty of space for 2 adults and two teenage boys. We only arrived very late at night. Linda was waiting for us in the street at our place of residence at half past twelve in the middle of the night. Besides the teenagers we also had our 3 dachshunds with us. Linda gave us the most suitable place so that the dogs also had a little garden. The unit also had a kitchenette with biscuits and a small fridge with milk to be able to drink a late night coffee. She came to greet us early the next morning before work to make sure we slept well. The unit is really very tastefully furnished and the beds made for a great night's sleep. We will definitely stay at her place again if we stay overnight in Colesberg.

Linda's guesthouse is safe and secure and the rooms were very neat and tidy. I enjoyed the fact that the whole set up felt like home. There was fridge, tea, coffee and plates and cups set up which is great. If possible for future it would be nice if the room could have a microwave for warming up of food because we had some left over food in our luggage which we wanted to warm up.

We checked in after 22:00 and left again at 04:30 the next morning, but we received the same hospitality and welcome as friends. Linda waited for us and stood up to help. Everything was neat and clean and very spacious.

Good place to spend the night if you want to rest.
We spent the night here on 20 Dec 2017 on our way to George. For the price, the facilities were clean and tidy, and the room had a lot of space that you don't usually find in overnight rooms. My only suggestion would be to just add a plastic drying rack by the sink for convenience. We were made to feel welcome and have already recommended Linda's to friends - will definitely stay here again.

The pictures that were posted online were misleading, did not get what was expected. Booked for room no. 2 but then got another room without any explanation. Room 3 is not advertised, but the impression is created that it is a "patched up" room. Unfortunately, I have to say it was not a very nice experience.

You can't get better value for money, als is clean and the bedding is brand new. Spacious rooms and Linda is a wonderful hostess, and goes out of her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The air conditioning is heavenly in the heat of Colesberg and there is a nice barbecue area if you don't want to eat at Die Plattelander. Coffee, milk and biscuits are waiting for you, we will definitely spend the night there again.

We felt very welcome and had a very nice stay. Everything was very neat and safe. I would perhaps only recommend that there should be another warm blanket available. It was very cold and the sheets did not work well. Furthermore, it was very neat.

We enjoyed the evening. Since my wife is slightly disabled, I recommended to Linda that she just make an arrangement at the porch steps. The shower in no. 2 was too high for my wife. Maybe you can just put a step or bench there for older people. Nevertheless, we had a very nice stay and really enjoyed the rural feel and nice porch with the braai place. Thank you very much Linda.

The room was neat and clean. Linda was friendly and helpful. However, the one complaint I have is that there were only SABC channels available on the DStv in the room.
Linda waited for us until late and provided us with a clean and tidy place to sleep.
We used the guest room as an overnight stop on a drive between Cape Town and Johannesburg. It was everything we needed ─ neat, clean, private and we were received kindly. We can also recommend JC's Pub and Restaurant in town for a light dinner.
Good stay for travelers.
We were comfortable, the room was clean, it had an air con thank goodness, it was very hot! The room was very spacious, with a large bathroom. Very nicely furnished. Very comfortable all round. There was tea, coffee, rusks in our room. Would definitely use Linda's as a stop-over again. Not for a long term stay, as there is not much to do in Colesberg!
It's a place where you'll want to spend the night after a hard day on the road.
No braai griddle. After asking for a griddle, we got a dirty one. No washing facilities for dishes. Had to do dishes in bathroom sink. Bad quality beds and old.
When your tired of travelling you want to stay at a nice place. I wasn't impressed. The yard seemed untidy, the inside is bearable but I already had a negative impression. First impressions count.

Excellent service and very friendly, I would love to stay there again. Only negative comment, maybe the outside area could be more "friendly", but for the rest it was excellent value for money!
The rooms are spacious and beautiful. It was very cold and we appreciated the convenience of a heater, air conditioning and electric blankets. Owner very friendly and accommodating.
In December, Colesberg is very hot and the air conditioner in our room was a pain. The other facilities were also very good. Our hostess received us kindly and also recommended Die Plattelander as a restaurant where I tasted delicious sheep's tails for the first time in my life. My wife's bobotie was just as delicious. I would stay there again, especially when the accommodation fee is compared to others in the same town.
The guest house accommodated us with a late arrival and the owner received us personally. The rooms were more than adequate with ample space and ample sleeping space. It's neat and clean and coffee and biscuits were available. Will definitely stay there again when we drive to the Cape.
It's pleasant and cheap for one night. The self-catering facilities are (too) limited. There is a braai area, but no grills, tongs etc. not. There is a microwave but no hot plate. Well knives and forks, but no spoons. And the house doesn't actually have a place to make food either.
Room is perfect, outside site is neglected and there is no WiFi.
