Lion's Den Game Lodge is in the extensive Pride of Africa Nature Reserve. The private lodge boasts an excellent location in Gauteng's famous Dinokeng Game Reserve, the only Big 5 game reserve in the region. In this beautiful bush setting, guests will see and hear African wildlife in a malaria-free area.

The lodge is only 45 minutes' drive from Pretoria and only 60 minutes' drive from Johannesburg. It is ideal for local and international guests looking for an authentic African experience.

Privately owned, the self-catering retreat is very peaceful and suitable for a variety of events including conferences, team-building activities, birthdays, intimate weddings and family gatherings.

The lodge is rented exclusively to one group at a time. This ensures privacy and exclusivity. There are 16 luxury en-suite rooms with sleeping space for 32 guests. The comfortable accommodation is ideal for guests who want to relax far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Each room has 2 single beds or 1 king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin.

The lodge is mainly suitable for self-catering, but full catering services are available on request. There is also a cash bar. The commercial kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, oven and a large refrigerator.

Guided game drives can be arranged at extra cost. Guests can see the majestic Big 5 including elephants, rhinos, buffalos, leopards and lions. There is also other wildlife including zebras, giraffes, antelopes, warthogs, aardvarks, hyenas, cheetahs, nyalas and a variety of birds that call this area home. The game drives usually take 1.5 - 2 hours and are an unforgettable safari experience. There are 2 wildlife-viewing vehicles available. The vehicles have seats for 10 or 22 guests and can accommodate a group of 32 guests.

There are various facilities available at the lodge. Guests can walk around the grounds and find a nice spot to read a book. A 2-hour morning game drive or a sunset game drive can be booked. There is an outside cash bar area and a pool for guests to cool off in. The large lapa area offers a view of the swimming pool and offers a boma and braai facilities. Free WiFi is available at the main lodge.
