Spekboom is a 1-bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 small children, and Gwarriebos is a 2-bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 child. Each cottage has an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchens are well-equipped with a gas hob, fridge with a small freezer, microwave and all necessary utensils. Power is supplied via solar. Each cottage has its own private verandah with a built-in braai. No wood is supplied.
Covered parking is available right next to each cottage.
On the farm, guests are free to go for walks, cycle up the strenuous hill or on the extensive gravel roads to your heart's desire, or just relax and watch the various bird species, leopard tortoises and wild rabbits roam from the luxury of the cottage. With 180-degree views of the Swartberg mountains in front and 180-degree views of the Rooiheuwel rolling hills at the back, it doesn't get better than this.

What delightful hosts! The host pays such attention to making your stay enjoyable. Her delicious rusks, piping hot home-baked bread, farm-fresh eggs, and milk really made us feel welcome. The cottage was perfect, so comfortable and surrounded by amazing views from every window. The millions of stars at night were the cherry on the top of a marvellous stay. I am so glad we booked for a week, but could have stayed longer!

Fabulous cottage on a farm about 10 minutes from Oudtshorn. So quiet and peaceful. The cottage is clean with everything that we needed for a few nights' stay. Gas and solar, so no power problems. Would love to have stayed longer.

Little Canaan was a perfect place for our retreat. It offered a very sublime and tranquil experience, exactly what we were looking for. We couldn't ask for a better place than Little Canaan. To top it off, the owner is only a text away, so welcoming; her smile is contagious. Her freshly baked bread aroma and her homemade apricot and vanilla jam were to die for. The bonus was no distractions; the farm allows you that refreshing early morning walks with breathtaking bird music.

We checked in later than expected, but were still warmly welcomed with fresh, warm bread. The house is very comfortably furnished and they put a lot of effort into making a safe, comfortable bed for our boy. The view of the field and mountains is breathtaking. We went for a walk around the farm and really enjoyed the scenery. Definitely a treat to stay with them and we will definitely stay there again in the future.

The freshly baked farm bread, eggs and milk were amazing. The view and surroundings are great. It is very safe. The shower was not so good, but there is a nice braai place if the wind is not blowing. The silence and farm life was great. The WiFi is not unlimited, so if you want to stream, you have to use your own data.

From the first contact with the owner until the day after we returned, we were treated like old friends, with warm affection. The place is perfectly furnished and laid out. We didn't need or lack anything, just clothes and food. The view is breathtaking and the starry splendor in the evening is something to experience. We slept over one night. We were surprised with milk and eggs in the fridge, a delicious bread on the table and wood ready for barbecue. We bought braai packs right there and were able to eat deliciously and enjoy the beautiful view. We are pleasantly surprised. Will definitely go again.
