Accommodation is offered in the Loft Apartment, Garden Suite and The Cottage. The Loft is on the first floor above the main house, with its own separate entrance and a large roof-top patio that offers views all around. Sunsets are generally spectacular and this is the ideal spot to enjoy a few sundowners.
The loft apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests. The main room leads off the patio, has an open-plan layout and contains a queen-size bed and an open-plan kitchenette, dining and living area. The kitchenette is equipped to prepare light meals and is fitted with a 2-plate gas stove, a bar fridge, kettle, and cutlery and crockery. The dining area contains a 4-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge has an L-shaped couch and a bespoke coffee table. Upstairs there is a mezzanine loft-style bedroom with a double bed.
The Garden Suite is part of the main house on the ground floor with a separate entrance and en-suite bathroom. It is equipped with a bar fridge and gas plate with kettle for making coffee and tea. It is not suitable for self-catering unless booked together with the Loft.
The Cottage is a new stand-alone self-catering unit sleeping 6 in a semi-open plan double-volume space. The kitchenette is equipped to prepare light meals and is fitted with a 2-plate gas stove, a bar fridge, kettle, and cutlery and crockery. There is an indoor fireplace and covered patio with braai facilities.
The farm is 100-percent ‘off the grid’ with solar power and a borehole with great quality water. Power usage is managed which means limiting energy-hungry appliances such as electric kettles, hair dryers and heaters. The rooms therefore do not have microwave ovens. A septic tank system is used so please don’t throw anything other than toilet paper in the loo. There is a ‘donkey’ wood-fired hot water geyser; the fire compartment of which doubles as a wood-fired oven for baking.
