Really a lovely place to break a weekend away from the city. Nick and Marilize were friendly and responsive to our enquiry. Safe and peaceful environment.
The place is very nice just needs maintenance in terms of bedding and cleaning. The gravel road from town to lodge is depressing.

Nice and quiet.
The house was not clean, yes it was tidy but definitely not clean! It's supposed to be self-catering, but there was not enough glasses and the pans were all scratched. There were people blaring their music and shouting on top of their music from 10 am till 4 the next morning, so you could not sleep. This is supposed to be a bush lodge! This messed up our entire weekend. I will never stay there again!
This was the best place i have ever visited with my family. George, the manager, and the co-workers were simply the best and very friendly to us. George were always very close to us and we enjoy walking around the farm, swimming and playing golf. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and hopefully we are planning to visit the Lodge Lucanus soon.
The accommodation was barely 2-star. There was no sign of management to open the gate and none of the phone numbers were answered. The place looks rundown. Very poor and unbelievably expensive for what your get. I see other websites have similar feedback on this place. It is a pity I didn't check them before I made my booking. Stay away from here.
No card facilities available to pay remainder of stay. This might be addressed. The place to stay is beautiful and perfect for a nice relaxing weekend away from city life. Not too far to drive from Pretoria.
