The upper bedroom has a queen-size 4-poster wooden bed and an en-suite wet room fitted with his and hers showers and toilet and his and hers wooden basins.
The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen with a water filter system, double stone basins, fridge, microwave, gas stove top, air fryer, and AMC cookware, including crockery and cutlery.
The living area leads to a closed patio relaxation area which boasts a heated Jacuzzi. There is a Nespresso and a coffee machine for guests to use. The living area also offers a Native American-themed fireplace and a TV for Netflix and other media entertainment with free Wi-Fi. Large windows overlook the garden and river.
The Jacuzzi is available for 6 hours of use for each paid night.
In addition, the cottage boasts gas geysers, a gas stove and a borehole with a water filter system.
Guests are welcome to bring their own fishing gear, and canoe's or kayaks and enjoy what the river has to offer.

11 guests' feedbackLocation is also perfect, apart from the theme of and in the unit which is particularly depicted. Surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful and feel safe at any given time.
The accommodation is 5-star and offers a lovely big bed. We took full advantage of the fireplace and Jacuzzi as it was cold outside. Our two brats were also welcome and had a great time. The owner has a very professional approach and is accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Was incredibly peaceful and nice to rest at Lone Wolf's Lair. The river is right next to the Lair and it creates an incredible atmosphere.
What a wonderful experience. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to couples for special occasions and a break away from the city life. The only unfortunate experience was the continuous daily noise from the neigbouring houses doing construction work and shouting very loudly from early hours of the morning before 6am and till late at night partying but that is however no reflection on Lone Wolf's Lair what so ever so it was just unfortunate disrupting the peace of the tranquil environment. Antoinette was so wonderful with her communications throughout the trip and her attention to detail and tentativeness was highly appreciated.
Everything is beautiful and even better than the photos. There is not one negative thing to say about Lone Wolf. Truly an experience.
Clean, secluded and one of the best private stays. Value for money. Just a shame i can only rate 5 stars as it is a 10 star stay.
Thank you very much Antoinette. Wonderful place and the jacuzzi was 10/10. Lots to do, right on the Vaalriver with the most beautiful sunset. Would go back to Lone Wolf's Lair again any day.
What a fantastic place, the decor is beautiful, the place is fully equipped, clean and tidy.
It was just an amazing weekend. It is so beautiful there and tranquil. Even with loadshedding, everything, everything was perfect, well prepared and there is everything you need. We had so much fun chilling in the Jacuzzi, sitting in front of the fire place playing games. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom amazing. Highly recommend.
Als was great, except that there is no back up for when something goes wrong. The WiFi was down all weekend (no back up WiFi for if the current one goes wrong), was included in the price/advert, generators/inverters were damaged (no back ups), so no internet access and gives power when there is loadshedding was (if what was included and paid for).
