Our stay was good and the host was friendly and accommodating. I would suggest in winter to switch on the geyser at night and early morning. Also, maybe have chairs at the table inside, but other than that, we had a good stay and take it as positive feedback.
Would like to say thank you very much for the permission to take our 2 Yorkie children with us. Thanks to the hostess who brought us extra garden chairs for the New Year's Eve barbecue. Suggestion: make windows at the braai area so that a person can touch the fire without making the room very hot. Bigger fridge please. It was a bit too small for a stay longer than 4 days. It was not pleasant to have other people park inside your front door. I don't know how you can improve it because it looks like the double garages of the main house, but it's not nice to have a car and stand in front of your door unless it can be your parking area. We had a wonderful stay, thank you very much.
We had a very nice stay. It was clean, tidy, a quiet area and nice and private. Only the steps were wet in the morning, and we were afraid we would slip.

My stay was fine, but I had young adults who came to enjoy themselves. However, they had a curfew by 11pm; the lights must be switched off. It's a holiday, so they shouldn't restrict their guests from using electricity. Also, at 9am the hot water gets switched off as well.
Enjoyable stay, prefer outdoor braai! No WIFI even though we had a choice of 2 passwords. A fold-up chair inside would be handy.
Owner can spend a little more time on cleanliness and maintenance.

We have been visiting Long Acres for 11 years. The area is quiet and safe. It's just what we as teachers need after a busy Christmas period and before schools reopen. The owners were hospitable, friendly and helpful. We will use their facilities again in the future.
Needed a fan in Bahamas 3 but it wasn't provided. Meaning windows and doors needed to be shut, to prevent mosquitoes. It was a hot, sticky, uncomfortable night.
Suitable location near Mykonos or Langebaan for the races or a break from a busy cape town.
We had a very good stay, we loved it.
After the first night, it became apparent we needed a fan in the room, as the heat was uncomfortable, and mosquitoes came in while opening widows. I requested a fan for the final night (through calls and texts) but got no response. This put a damper on my stay, but apart from this glitch, I overall enjoyed my stay.
I will definitely visit there again, place is neat, Laguna Mall is just a blink of an eye away for all Shopping. Would definitely recommend Long Acres Bahama.
Made good use of the braai area.
I just suggest a bigger fridge. We came from far away and brought everything with us but couldn't find everything in the fridge.
The units were nice and clean and comfortable. But the stairs to the upper units were very steep and slippery, especially after the rain. However, the kitchen equipment needs attention. The power goes out too easily. The stove in the one unit is hard to understand, can't tell if it's on or off. The pans' handles are loose, making them dangerous to use. Some of the pots and pans were dirty. There are too few knives and forks. But otherwise we slept well, and enjoyed the space of the units. With a little attention it can be a nice place to sleep. A little attention can make it a top destination. The advertised shower over bath was just a shower then. There is no place to put down toiletries, and there is too little hanging space for towels in the bathroom.
Had a good reception. It was raining and we have to move up the stairs. Stairs were wet and we were very afraid we would slip. Wind didn't play along when we had to move up the stairs. Our compartment had no braai facilities. Moss on the level in the wind fry. Not a pleasant experience at all.

We were there for 7 days and unfortunately there was no storage space for our clothes. No wardrobes, you have to live out of your suitcase and dress - it was very unpleasant.

The environment is really very nicely done and it's also extremely neat. Inside the place it is also nice and tidy ─ everything works and the little fridge really works overtime. It froze everything. The larger table in the braai place is a bonus and a half.

Nothing wrong with the accommodation. Would expected a welcome and a goodbye from the hosts. No sight of them. Sunday checkout time at 10:00 am, and there were no hot water to bath/shower.That's bad! Had to boil water in the kettle and wash in the basin.

Very cute place. They can think about providing towels. Pots need attention and they should make sure the fridge is not set too cold. Everything inside the fridge froze. However, we had a nice stay.

Very well situated close to main highways and national roads, as well as the town, mall, beach areas and club Mykonos. Effective Wi-Fi and connectivity good. Spacious rooms, with the required basic amenities and equipment for self catering. Quiet area that provides a safe environment for adults and children. The accommodation requires some maintenance and cleaning. The toilet seat needs to be secured, it is loose and moves from side to side. The stove top dials' information is very unclear and it is extremely difficult to see if the dial is on on, off, or on power level 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. The microwave is very noisy and clearly is not going to last. The braai/grid on the balcony is really dirty and grimy and a good, deep clean will make it attractive and healthy to use. The bathroom floor is exceptionally slippery when wet and a frail, unwell person who slips, is going to get hurt. The matts on the floor move around a bit. The fridge needs to be defrosted and gassed. The small deep freeze compartment was extremely small due to the excessive ice and frost. It did serve the purpose of keeping food cold.

The accommodation was good but room service was not included. No fresh daily towels. No house keeping. We struggled with the shower and ended up boiling water in the kettle to fill the bath tub. My white face cloth ended up brown. I think they made use of borehole water because the water was brown. But the room was nice and accommodation is a 5 min drive from the mall. Nice quiet area. All in all stay was good but I think you need to inform your guests about the water, house keeping and on check out we didn't know where to leave the key ─ Maybe a key drop box?
In one of the draws was dirty underwear and a sweater and on top of all the water went off at 7 pm and only went on the next day after 10 am without notification. We did phone municipalities and the fault was not by them. On the same premises is a couple that stay there that does the cleaning and their water was on so why should the guests be without water? That is not on. We did contact the lady concern but she did not reply Friday evening. They can be a bit friendlier as well and make the guests feel at home and welcome like 2 years ago when I was there. But I surely won't stay there anymore. Neither will I recommend people.
The accommodation is exactly as shown in the photos which is a plus. Bathroom was neat and clean - the bedding and mattress could be upgraded though.

Perfect place just for the two of us, it was nice and peaceful and our whole aim for the weekend was just to braai and relax and unwind, we had a braai area on our balcony and that was just perfect for us. People were friendly and accommodating. The only thing that was a little upsetting was a neighbour's dog who barked all night, but other than that, it was awesome. We would definitely be coming again when we can, I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends. Perfect place just to get away for a day or two and relax.

Conveniently close to Mykonos and Pick 'n Pay. The room was comfortably furnished with everything we needed. The enclosed braai area was a winner when the wind started blowing a bit.

Bahama 2 was very neat. Lovely, sunny bedroom. Enjoyed tranquility. There might just be more lighting at the braai, the outside light does not provide enough light for it. The braai area by parking has more than enough light. Fridge is just a bit small to fit everything in. Otherwise we had a great stay and would like to come for longer than a weekend next time.
It was our 40th anniversary and we definitely chose the right place to stay at Long Acres Bahamas for a breakaway. We received a friendly welcoming and the accommodation was excellent. The neat unit had everything that we needed and we could watch the rugby and see how the WP lost against the Sharks. Lovely, small town atmosphere, with a chicken crowing in the morning and antelope in the garden and a peacock showing off his beautiful tail. It was truly a lovely, relaxing weekend.

I appreciated the comfortable size of the accommodation. I do think that maybe the safety is being looked at. Nothing happened, but with today's climate we can't be too complacent. Had a great stay and will stay there again!
Lelanie the owner received us very warmly. Although the accommodation was the smallest we found it suitable for our purpose. The accommodation was clean and tidy and the braai place private. Lighting at the latter could improve and tongs for turning sausages could be useful. When the wind blows fiercely, all windows unfortunately have to be closed. We enjoyed our accommodation and it's definitely value for money.
Value for money, very clean and neat, peaceful environment. Excellent location, close to the Lugana Mall, approximately 500 m away. Problems we incurred was it was extremely windy and could not watch any television, think they should invest in maybe TV aerials. I understand it's a self-catering accommodation, but hand towels and hand soap could have been provided. When you depart from the premises at least a friendly handshake to say "thanks for staying at the accommodation, hope to see you again," otherwise great way to escape from city life.
The place is particularly neat. For a self-catering unit, I give Long Acres Bahamas a 0. The unit does not offer space to unpack or hang your clothes, so you live out of your suitcase. For a woman attending a wedding, it is not fun to do so with a wrinkled dress. The unit has no stove, not even a single plate stove. If this is not possible, a braai pan would have worked, which is also not to be found. There isn't even a toaster to toast a bun. The bottom drawer of the three drawers has no drawer and when my wife took the handle of what was supposed to be a drawer she stood with the front in her hand. The bathroom is very nice. The sink and bath take about 5 minutes to empty. It is stated in the advertisement that there is someone on duty 24 hours a day, which is not true. Upon our arrival, we were quickly shown the place by the owner, they as family drove within 2 minutes of our arrival and the message was clear: we were just waiting for you. I would not recommend Long Acres for people to come and stay there for a weekend or longer. It would probably be fine as a one night overnight facility. I will not be using Long Acres again.
Neat and clean. Not as well equipped as we are used to. No drum in kitchen and bathroom. Can hear everything neighbors do and say. Not private.
Place had many cockroaches and spiders. Shower was not clean either. We were only greeted by the owner on arrival and never saw her again. We were not handed a receipt when payment was made. No towels were provided for our stay. House was not equipped with a iron even though there was an ironing board.

We were received with hospitality and it immediately made us feel at home. The modern furnished unit we stayed in is worth every penny. It's a very neat place and in just the right place so you could get to shops and entertainment places easily and quickly. We just felt very safe and will definitely come back again.

Perhaps just have a look at the plug behind the double bed, the bed cannot go against the wall because of it, causing the cushions to fall between the big space. Another solution is to get a headboard for the bed.

Dit was heerlik om by Bahamas te bly, weg van die stadsgewoel. Soggens word jy wakker gemaak deur 'n heerlike pou gesang en die rustigheid laat mens soms baie ver terugdink. Ek sal beslis weer daar oornag en sal dit ten sterkste aanbeveel vir enige van my vriende of familie wat 'n lekker wegbreek naweek wil he. Die plekkies is netjies ingerig en daar is 'n tekort aan niks. Ek was selfs verbaas om 'n haardroër in een van die laaie te ontdek. Die mense is vriendelik en gasvry. Die braai area was lekker beskut teen die wind en dit was heerlik privaat. Baie baie dankie vir julle puik diens. Julle gaan ons beslis weer sien.

Very nice and peaceful, great night's sleep, TV and radio didn't work and we were out the entire time so I would've liked to watch a movie the evening and to listen to the news the next morning. The TV was there, but we couldn't watch anything, very bad reception and no radio. Other than that, very clean, neat and pleasant.
Love the farm atmosphere, space and clean natural environment. Reception was friendly and we even had some social time around the fire with the owner and some of the other guests. The TV bouquet should be upgraded from just 2 channels to more channels.
Long Acres is definitely a very nice place to stay for the weekend. You feel so relaxed in the environment. Love all the birds around and they have the cutest little dogs. Will definitely stay over again.
It was very nice to stay there, it's very relaxing, just that we could not watch TV because of the wind.

Wonderful place to stay if you want to explore the West Coast - friendly, secure and comfortable (only issue - maid did not clean fridge properly and there was a very fishy smell coming from the fridge when we arrived) but will definitely go back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our time at the self-catering unit, we were in Bahama 4 which is on the second floor. The only negative thing I can think of is our master bedroom window is right above the living area of the lower unit. The kitchen is well equipped and consists of a clean bar fridge and stove. The linen was clean and crisp and the bath is a bath with a shower head. Everything was very pleasant.
Lelani was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable right away. The suite was cosy and private and we did not feel intruded upon in any way. It had all the basics. In this time of drought we felt very bad about running the water until the hot water cylinder kicked in. Maybe a gas water heater would have helped or, maybe, a large plastic bucket to collect the excess cold water to flush the toilet, water plants, whatever. Guilt can make one feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless, wonderful shower!
We were kindly received by the owner. Our room was neat and very comfortable. Well equipped with everything we needed to make our time there very special. I will definitely recommend them to family and friends.

We were told to only bring towels. However, there was no soap in the bathroom and too little coffee. TV signal was bad and snowy. Only one channel (which we don't watch) had a good signal.
Real place to go and rest - close to the beach, shopping centre and coffee shops and also affordable - and then the service from LekkeSlaap was way above what we expected!
It was wonderful to stay there, the people were friendly and helpful, we enjoyed it a lot and will stay there again, it is a place that I will recommend to family/friends. Thank you so much Long Acres Bahamas. See you soon!
No clear signage to indicate where reception is so we had to go where we saw some people. We had to wait a while because the host is a hairdresser to and it looked as though she was busy with a client. She also made a comment about check-ins on Fridays being stressful. The kitchen area is so small it feels as though everything is squashed in the corner even though there is enough space - not necesarry to squeeze everything into the corner. The small, round sink is not impressive. Looked as though I wouldn't get a plate back if I put it in there. Also no pots and pans. We like preparing our own meals so it was an issue for us. There was a leak above the front door. I plan to visit South Africa again next year, but I won't book this place.
We had such a nice stay. There were things lacking though, like towels, plastic bowls for common things in a kitchen, no extra blankets or pillows. The walls are also very thin and you can hear everything the people who stayed above us did, I think carpets in the rooms above would help.
Just got half a roll of tissue paper. No tongs and grill. No facilities to make breakfast, even though it is a self-catering unit, there is no electric plate or stove. Water in taps takes a very long time to heat up and you waste water unnecessarily. Drain at shower runs out very slowly causing one to stand in shower water.
For self-catering, one would like to have a braai facility. For the price, one would want guest soaps and towels (we had to ask for towels) in the bathroom, as well as a toilet roll holder on the wall and not on the floor. For the price, definitely not plastic garden chairs at the table in the dining area. Plastic garden chairs on smooth tiled floors are dangerous because legs bend outwards. The pan in the kitchen is old which causes the eggs to stick because the teflon that has already been sanded off. The blinds in front of the windows have been destroyed allowing a streak of sun right in your face on the sofa if you want to watch TV. There was no way to keep the sun streak out. The bed is in front of the window whose blinds don't close completely either, you can be seen from outside. The wall plug for using a hairdryer in the bedroom is behind the mattress and hard to reach. The feather duster in the hanging cupboard and the empty iron box give the impression that the accommodation has not been pre-inspected to make sure it is ready for guests. Leave the impression that you are just another income. The 'welcome feeling' is therefore missing. We suspect that the accommodation is still new in the industry and mention the above as encouragement for correction and not just criticism.
We were in Langebaan for a wedding. The place where we stayed is small, but very clean and tidy. There was a beautiful peacock that greeted us often, as well as turtles, and a very small goat, which the dogs faffed about. Place is quiet and "laid back". We will definitely visit here again next time, but then try one of the other rooms.

The accommodation comprises 4 fully furnished self-catering units that sleep 2 or 3 guests each.
Bahama 1 is a small bachelor flat equipped with 1 double bed, an en-suite bathroom and a small kitchen area with a private braai area that is secluded. It is a bachelor unit only so it is the smallest of our 4 units. Only small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, small basin, and no stove.
Bahama 2 is 1-bedroom apartments featuring 1 double bed, 1 bathroom and an open-plan kitchen and lounge with its own private braai area.
Bahama 3 is on the second storey and has 1 bedroom equipped with a double bed, 1 bathroom and open-plan kitchen and lounge and a private braai on the balcony on the unit. Children over the age of 10, pay R100 extra per night.
Bahama 4 is also on the second storey and has 1 bedroom equipped with a double bed, 1 bathroom and an open plan kitchen and lounge and a balcony but not a private braai. There is however additional space to braai in the parking area. Bahama 3 and 4 shares an entrance to the other two units.
No towels are provided.
Additional facilities in each unit include a braai area, TV, DStv and secure parking.
Activities in the area include swimming, windsurfing, kitesurfing, angling, fishing and horseback rides along the beach. Nearby attractions include West Coast National Park and Mykonos Casino.
