60 guests' feedbackAudrey is a great host. We had an amazing experience!
It was wonderfully peaceful and very private. Clean and tidy and everything you need. Kol Kol jacuzzi was a winner and with the early morning game drive we saw so many animals! If you're looking for tranquility, privacy and romance, Lookout is the place to be. I can definitely recommend Lookout.
What a fantastic nice place! We had such a great time relaxing. The forest around a person is soul food.
Stay was fantastic. Very neat and clean. We really enjoyed it.
We had a very pleasant stay. Accommodation was clean and very well equipped with everything we needed.
Definitely coming back.
We had a very nice stay. In the morning you can expect animals in front of your porch. We lay in our bed on Sunday morning and watched zebras walking and eating several meters away from us.
Thank you for the great stay, loved everything about the place, clean, modern but still gives you the bush experience. The lodge has everything you need in a self-catering unit, plus it's such a peaceful place.️
Will definitely go again.
Very nice. Friendly staff and very helpful.
Very pleasant stay, friendly staff and the room was clean. It was so lovely and quiet. The jacuzzi was lovely. Will go again.
The whole experience was delightful. From welcome drinks with friendly reception, neatly furnished place that includes (DSTV, WiFi, coffee machine, extra lights in case of load shedding) and the jacuzzi was already heated at the time of arrival. Can definitely recommend Lookout Safari Lodge.
What an amazing getaway. The facilities are beautiful, and the spaces were exceptionally clean. Check in was so lovely; we especially liked the watering hole. We were welcomed with welcome drinks, and the lady assisting us was fantastic! We loved our game drive; it was very informative, and we got to see some amazing sightings. The ranger was very knowledgeable when it came to the park, the fauna and flora! We had the best experience! True value for money!
Nice clean, friendly service.
Very nice stay! Very neat and well furnished.
Very cute place and friendly service.
Had a great stay. Very peaceful environment and friendly staff. The accommodation is also very nicely furnished and beautiful.
Had a great time and rested. Freddy was very friendly and helpful. Will visit again.
The staff were incredibly friendly and ensured everything was perfect on arrival. The apartment was spotless, well-appointed, and the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, making it easy to enjoy the convenience of self-catering. The location was perfect, offering stunning views and easy access to nearby attractions.
Very neat place. Good value for money, beautiful view.
The lodge is beautiful, not too far away from Johannesburg. It's a great place to retreat and break away from the busy lifestyle. We enjoyed the hot tub; it was on during load shedding. There's a generator during load shedding.
Was wonderful rest for the soul.
Very nice house and place!
Great place with great service.
Beautiful, central lodge, all the units overlook the forest which makes for a beautiful view. We saw impalas and foxes and heard hyenas and zebras in the evenings. Very special and intimate. Perfect for people looking for silence and bliss.
We enjoyed it very much, accommodation was very nice and clean, and the house has all the necessary things that one needs. There was a rattle hose in one of the pipes that you roll up the canvas so just be careful. Heated pool was very nice and the boma braai in the late evening. Audrey was very helpful with wood aandra and Carla with the game drive was a winner. Thank you guys.
Was absolutely delicious. We did pay attention to the details, such as the choice of tea bags, At this price these details and extras become important.
Friendly reception and everything was clean and tidy.
We enjoyed it very much. We have a nice Jacuzzi and it was in the heart of the forest. The luxury tent is just what one needs to get out of town with all the necessary amenities. Will definitely visit the place again.
Everything about the bush getaway was so amazing. 5-star luxury indeed. Already recommended and will definitely go back. Unforgettable experience. Thank you.
It was more then expected, peaceful, tranquil and picturesque. Would go back anytime.
The hospitality was amazing, house was very neat and clean. Made it all worth spending the week there.
Lookout Safari Lodge is ideal if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few days. Nicely close to Pretoria and the chalets with the canvas walls that can be completely opened give the feeling that you are on a luxury safari in the forest. Their game drives are also to be recommended.
Rest for the soul.
The concept of a building with tent sails that open from bottom to top is a winner. It feels like you are in the woods with tasteful furniture and amenities. Price is excellent. Enjoyed it a lot.
The chalet is so beautifully laid out. The "canvas walls" that can open make you feel part of the forest. And yet everything is so private. It felt like we were the only people there! Own boma, own kitchen. And yet we enjoyed the time at the pool just as much. The staff is friendly and professional. Overall an incredibly fun weekend! Wish we could have stayed longer, but will definitely visit again.
We loved it, the accommodation was absolutely beautiful and we had a great surprise upon arrival that we had a brand-new Jacuzzi all to ourselves. The units are private from each other and very clean. Audrey, the manager, was fantastic and extremely helpful. The shower was definitely worth mentioning. We had all we needed and really enjoyed our stay, thank you!
Was very excited to celebrate my first wedding anniversary with a weekend away. To my shock when I had to hear that the place I had booked was not available because there was a communication problem. This was quickly sorted and given another chalet which was the same as I had booked. The jacuzzi didn't work as it should and didn't really heat the water. Apart from the jacuzzi which gave problems, the chalet was everything I expected. Very neat, clean and friendly service.
There is a village not far from here and the music is a bit disturbing until late at night. I would have preferred it to be a little quieter - maybe it's only unit 1 where we stayed that feels the full brunt of this.
We had a lovey stay at Lookout Safari Lodge. Derick and Audrey, managing the lodge, was so friendly and gave us the warmest of welcomes. Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable! The lodge makes you feel right at home surrounded by the bush.
Our stay at Lookout Safari Lodge was amazing. Staff is very nice. Even got a complimentary champagne for our anniversary. Everything is clean and tidy. It is very peaceful with all the forest sounds around you. The self-drive routes are very nice in the Dinokeng. We didn't want to go home and will definitely go there again with our kids. Thank you.
See stars.
The service received was very good, the place is tidy, everything is well looked after, value for money. Will definitely go back again.
Staff were very friendly.
We enjoyed our time at the Lookout Lodge. Ideal place to go for a break without your kids. Very private and comfortable. They even have a generator for loadshedding and we didn’t even hear it! You might want to take comfortable camping chairs for your sit around the fire at night.
To be able to go for a weekend and just relax a bit from the hectic city life, this is the perfect place.
It's a beautiful place with lots of animals all around. The water hole right by the pool brings many animals and birds. The right place for a romantic getaway. We will go again for sure.
Excellent service from the website to Lookout Safari. Friendly, helpful and great service. It was a pleasure to spend the special time there.
We stayed in the deluxe family chalet. Als was just perfect and we really enjoyed it. The accommodation was top notch! And many thanks to Audrey - we appreciate your kindness. Thank you very much!
Thanks to Audrey and Derick, your kindness made it extra special. We will definitely visit again.
Was very hospitable and very helpful. Beautiful place.
Very neat unit and premises. We didn't see many animals but the forest was thick from all the rain this year. Our booking did show wrong apparently on the owner's side and they didn't have my details.
We had a great time. Audrey was fantastic!
Lovely accommodation, just outside Pretoria. The finishes and details of the accommodation units are something special. Most beautiful bath and shower. Was very kindly received, thank you very much. We definitely want to go again, but maybe in cooler months as it was terribly hot and unfortunately there is no air conditioning.
I'd highly recommend Lookout Safari Lodge for couples wanting a romantic getaway.
We were warmly welcomed and extra was done for our wedding anniversary at a cost. We really enjoyed the tranquility!
A wonderful place for a romantic getaway. Extremely peaceful, very tidy and you feel so at home.
Naweek was WOW! Ons sal beslis weer gaan, skoon, netjies, rustig. Ons het zebras gesien toe ons in die swembad sit wat so mooi was, alle soorte voëls wat saam sing in die oggend.
Only sorry about the showers that didn't have enough hot water. We also had a huge load of cockroaches which were very demanding. We were in the family unit. I would not recommend summer months, because the cockroaches.
It's nice and close to the city but gives a nice bush feeling while the pool was a treat in the heat. The kitchen is nice and just enough for us. If you want to cook extensively, the communal kitchen will be better. Friendly service.
