Very neat and a pleasant atmosphere at the restaurant. Eat well.
Beautifully furnished. Well-stocked bar and restaurant. The food was perfect. Friendly staff.
Safe parking was important to us as we were towing a pram. The parking was behind locked gates - very secure. The apartment was surrounded by a neat garden and lights, a small kitchen with a fridge (and ice - it was very hot) in which we could keep the rest of our road food cool. We ordered dinner in advance and it was on time, and a lot of effort was made to serve it delicious, hot and beautiful. The bedroom and bathroom had no shortages. There is an air conditioner, although it couldn't completely get rid of the heat - we think the room would be even more inviting with a fan. We asked for breakfast early and it was served at the Officer's Mess. The ladies once again put in a lot of effort, and it was delicious, ample and filling. We also asked for coffee for the hot flask, and it was provided to us without difficulty.
The mattress is slept through in the middle. You can't lie on your side, you roll to the middle. Should please urgently replaced.
Beautiful little place owned by an antiques expert who has done an amazing job restoring the property with beautiful antiques. Amazing and quaint with excellent service.

We were made very welcome and shown to a charming room with bathroom and a kitchen en suite. Braai area outside. Secure parking. You could stay here for a week. The bar and food were great. The decor is amazing.

We ate there and after eating we smelled like two oil bulbs - it was horrible. The kitchen doesn't have a fan so the oil smell is everywhere. The references regarding the food were not so on the web page - mediocre. There guests left very early in the morning and had no respect for other guests, they made a lot of noise.
We stayed well, ate well and slept well. Lord Carnarvon Small Hotel is definitely a must. Plan to sleep over it. It's a lovely place. The restaurant's food is off the books. We will definitely come back.
The security area for parking within the hotel grounds is a huge plus.

I enjoyed our stopover but still prefer staying out of town. It's comfortable and most importantly, really clean. It also helps that a restaurant is attached and my teenagers loved the pizza.
