There was last a review for this guest house in 2018. So the guests there do not write reviews. Lourie Lodge was probably once glorious, but not anymore. We were in room 1. The room (and lodge) is tired, the cupboards in our room are from the 1980s and the furniture is weathered. The bathroom is still beautiful and functional, but the curtain is peeling off the rail and no one notices. In the living room there is a bookshelf next to the fireplace where the books lie in a jumbled pile. The place needs a good dose of TLC, fresh paint and a lot of attention from the owner. If all the rooms are to be full, I don't know where all the cars will park, unless most of the guests arrive there on occasion and are picked up again. On the positive side, Colin was a very good host, the breakfast was nice and hot and on time (we wanted to eat early) and the lady who served it was kind to someone who was already serving breakfast at 6.30am to the other guests who probably would eat much later.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lourie Lodge. My only complaint is that the bathrooms were not serviced daily as I noticed the bath hadn't been cleaned after first night.

The service was very friendly. Nice quiet and safe. Would really recommend it. Close to Montecasino.

We had a lovely time. Family room is beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nice and quiet, although the neighboring guests did wake us up! However, will see you definitely again!
