I won't recommend sharing a room as it is very small.
The area itself in Mthatha was not so nice to move around in, because we only arrived in the evening. But the moment we entered the gate of Lucolo Palace, we were able to relax and did not even remember for a moment our previous concerns. They were able to help us immediately and we were able to complete our payment with the convenience of a card machine. The staff was very helpful. The room and bathroom were beautiful, comfortable and clean. We slept wonderfully!
Location is a problem, very poor area. If I had come there during the day I would have gone looking for another place.
Beautiful guest house, but at 21:00 they gave us one room for other guests (even though they say you can check in until 23:00). Very poor service in that regard.
Good value for money if you're just looking for an overnight stay.
Place is very neat, clean and modern. The location may influence people not to stay there. My wife was very skeptical when we approached the place.
