"One night stay"

We stayed over while spending two days at Pilanesburg. Only about 20 minutes from Bakatla gate. Very clean, secure and pleasant accommodation.

We had a great time in the bush and at Lushpf. The rooms were simple with beds, bedside tables, a closet and a kitchen and bathrooms. In the kitchen there is a small stove, the types that stand on the cupboard that has two plates, with a small oven. There is also a small bar fridge in the kitchen - there are not very many utensils, not 2 of all the basics, but e.g. braai tongs were not there - had to use a fork. The rooms also have air-conditioning which I appreciated. The bathroom has a toilet, basin and medium size shower. We booked three rooms and the bathroom was the difference between everyone (except for the general room layout) - the one room's shower was slightly larger than the other. Outside the rooms, under the canopy, are awesome outdoor wooden tables where we spend a lot of time. The farm was empty with another couple as far as we know - personally I think that if it is busy it may have a different feeling. There were 2 braais next to the pool. And one hid at the back of one of the rooms; if it were busy we might have struggled a little - we braai'd almost every day - wood was easy to get. Along the pool there is also a restaurant that has a bar - it is open at specific times only and not weekends. (Arrange ahead of time then you have no surprises.) On request, they also make a good farm breakfast that I can really recommend. Memory arrived early one morning and made the best sausages for our group, eggs bacon, coffee, orange juice - the whole breakfast - and it was worth it. Breakfast/bar prices were good. The card machine did not work every day, take a little extra money. Just take in mind with my review that we are city people and accustomed to quickly driving and getting things and then driving again if we forget something. The trip actually needed more planning, but at least we had two cooler boxes - which I suggest for those who want to visit.

It was sufficient for us for a one night, stay fairly close to the Pilanesburg. The place is a bit isolated but has everything you need and is well kept.

The environment and atmosphere and location of Lushof is a piece of heaven. The wild birds and the thorn trees are beautiful.
