Found everything clean and tidy. Walking distance to a shop for essential items.
The booked unit's closet/bathroom door was out of order. We were moved to another (bigger) unit. The beds and bedding were good. However, the units are in urgent need of maintenance and upgrading.
We were kindly received. Safety meets requirements. Near shopping center. Will use their accommodation again anytime.

Please keep the TV channels in the info booklet, only E Reality was available - not everyone's favourite.
Ideal for a quick stopover if you don't expect anything "wow". No braai area and the light in single bedroom does not work. Only 2 chairs for 6 people.
The environment is certainly not to anyone's choice. The photos create a different impression than the reality. The local residents bothered us until late at night with loud music and honking of vehicles. Only 2 chairs in an apartment for 6 people. Every room has beds in it and there is no place to comfortably sit and eat together as a family. Everyone must sit on their beds and eat. The TV could not work ─ no plug. Some of the bedding is stained and looks dirty. Unfortunately, there was no water in the town, but there was also no backup water to even flush a toilet. The water was off all day and evening. It really wasn't the most pleasant experience.
The television only had 1 channel and the programs on that channel were not suitable for small children (language).
Weak water pressure. Basin taps not working.
The place had no Wi-Fi, lots of dust and the TV was from Noah's Ark.
I would return to Lynhill. Our apartments met our needs and were comfortable.

I just think that the barbecue grills could improve a lot.
For the amount of R550 per night, I had expectations. Here I got less from places where I paid R400 per night. Only toilet paper for two days. No small containers of body wash, shampoo or shower cap. I stay at many places because of my work, but this was the first place where I didn't get a container with milk, envelopes with sugar, tea or coffee either. I will certainly not recommend anyone to this. Inventory was incorrect. If I hadn't spoken, I would have had to pay vie 2 fleece blankets can R150 each, 2 towels also worth R150 each as well as an iron that was on inventory but not in the room. I would have been held responsible for R750 worth of items that weren't even there. Then the carpets were horribly stained and dirty, brooming means nothing and these carpets will either need to be replaced or washed thoroughly. Overall feeling of it was not worth the money. I could have got the same at Backpackers lodge for a quarter of the price. I am very disappointed.
It was not clean, there were cockroaches, in the bathroom the cabinets are pulling away from the wall, there is a bathtub (stained and old) with a shower that does not work properly. In the kitchen I couldn't get the stove going, the kettle literally had black woolly water in it. There is a dirty trash can by the door. The location is opposite a night club and a very noisy centre. The linens were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. I paid in full for 4 days, slept only 1 night and made a request to get my money back, I was given alternative accommodation.

Lynhill is a beautiful overnight spot, we stayed 2 nights. We visited our children who recently moved to Welkom. The decor was beautiful and the room was equipped with everything we needed. It was clean and we had a warm night's sleep under nice duvets Thanks, will definitely book Lynhill again.
If you had a long trip it's amazing to arrive at a cosy place that is neat and clean. We only stayed for one night. Will recommend it.

We stayed elsewhere due to overbooking and had to drive further to our function etc, but the management went the extra mile to accommodate us with two rooms instead of one. It was very nice and very fair. Looking forward to being able to stay in Stanville in the future should trips take us to Welkom.

My stay at the Lynhill-Apartments was perfect. It was the best place to rest, and get away from the busy life. Although it was a struggle to find the place, once we were settled in the stay just went from great to amazing. I want to thank everyone at Lynhill for creating a safe, secure and private destination for all clients interested in staying at the Lynhill. I will definitely recommend the self catering resort to all my friends and family. Whenever i visit in Welkom Free State i will always find my stay at the Lynhill- apartment.

It's not a place I would stay again. The little apartment is very neat, but the cold water in the bathroom took a long time to start running. The area where the apartments are located is not very safe. The bar across the road was noisy until the early hours of the morning.
Although the apartment was relatively clean, one still got the impression that it was old. The electrical cord is simply hung over the curtain rail to provide an extension to the television. It was very cold in the apartment and we had to use the heaters that were available, but the wall plug hanging in the air got hot and we turned it off for safety reasons instead. One of the rooms' wall plugs was clearly burnt (there is only 1 plug in each room). The toaster in the kitchen had no interior at all, the bathroom door couldn't close at all and the front door was crooked. Really not the standard I would necessarily recommend to someone of average standards. The location is not good at all, there is a place to visit right across the street and on Friday night sleep was out of the question because there were races in the street and the motorbikes were trying to see who could make the loudest noise. Definitely not a place I would recommend.
Very clean and tidy apartment. Enough space and beds for the 6 of us. The shower was just a little too low for the taller people in our group.

Met our needs for overnight or longer periods.
Although we could see that an attempt was made to do something about the physical condition of the unit and the building, pictures are deceiving. Unfortunately, paint cannot cover up reality. We did sleep wonderfully in crisp bedding.
Just a pity the toilet's shut-off valve was broken and the water kept spilling through the overflow pipe; unless one turns the emergency shut-off valve on the floor every time.
We were there as a family and had to drive past the unit 3 times before we could find it. On arrival the unit was in a terrible condition. The shower didn't work, hot water tap stays open. Front door didn't shut properly and it is a big negative because a small push can open the door - not safe! The patio door also wasn't locked and we were lucky to discover it. When we left the front gate didn't work, because the power was off and the battery didn't work and we had to wait 45 minutes before they opened the gate for us. I have to strongly recommend that they revamp the living unit. The photos don't reflect the true condition of the unit.
