7 guests' feedbackThe nature is very beautiful and the lodge's layout is such that you can view it at all times. The dinner was very tasty and the room we were in is stylish with all the necessary amenities.
Lythwood Lodge is located relatively deep in from the main road and accessible only by dirt road. The road is in good condition and therefore Lythwood Lodge is easily accessible. However, it is recommended that it is pointed out to prospective guests. However, all this makes the location exclusive and very private. The landscape is almost unspoiled with farm animals and horses in the area which all contribute to a wonderful getaway experience. The service of the staff is very good throughout and the restaurant's breakfast and dinners are of a high quality. The rooms are well equipped and tastefully decorated, more with a timeless, classic style. There are several areas inside the main building and outside on the grounds where one can sit and visit, read or view the beautiful surroundings. Although this did not bother me, prospective guests should consider that it is located far away in a rural area, so WiFi is not always that strong, borehole water is used, farm animals are heard, etc. The television channels are limited. However, you don't go home in such beautiful surroundings and at such a beautiful place to watch television, so it didn't bother me. Overall it was a lovely stay, a good break and a place where I could rest well away from the hustle and bustle of the city! Have recommended to other people and taken people here myself after staying here before.

Lythwood Lodge's natural beauty is it's biggest asset. It may take you 30 min. longer to get there from King Shaka International Airport than anticipated (due to the remote location). But worth the drive and, wait, the room phone was struck by lightning, which made the wake up call a 'manual process' and the Wi-Fi wasn't working in room 9 on the evening of 20 October 2016. Apart from that, good amenities and very helpful service.
We unfortunately ended up in the remains of a wedding party. Bored guests lounging on sofas and clearly no longer receiving inspiring service. Maintenance of the rooms leaves much to be desired. A reading lamp without a bulb. Rotten milk in a fridge. Bad smelling water - or was it the sewage system? Upon checking out I am shocked with a large bill - the lodge does not seem to understand the relationship with LekkeSlaap. No finesse - would return with difficulty.
Absolutely great.
Wonderful service, spacious comfortable room and the restaurant was excellent. Can highly recommend it.
