Maarten van Maartens Guest House is a very friendly host and immediately made us feel welcome. We only stayed one night, and the budget room is all we needed. It was perfect - lovely, comfortable bed. Breakfast the next morning in the dining room was cozy with the other guests, and the food was delicious. Would be happy to recommend.

We had a great stay and the room is exactly as described. Small, but convenient! Very nice bed and shower - very quiet area and private. Secure parking. Delicious breakfast with very friendly hosts and staff. We will be definitive!

I had the wonderful top floor room with a view of the sea which was great. The rooms are clean. However, there is no protection against mosquitoes, no gauze in front of windows, no mosquito nets, although a gauze door or window would have been sufficient. Hence I had to sleep with a closed door and windows at the sea. Awful! The owner, Maarten, is friendly but unfortunately he chose to party with his friends until late into the night on the last night I stayed there, having to get up early to catch a plane. The house rules said absolute quiet as from 22H00. They were still going strong at midnight!
Parking could become a problem. Suggestion for breakfast served from 07:30.

The necessary things to stay very comfortable are in place and the owner is not afraid to spend money on amenities that matter. The place is very neat and comfortable, and I will definitely book a place there again.

Maartens Gastehuis's breakfast every morning was a winner! The shower has the best shower head I have ever used! The room was very comfortable and spotless. The breakfast every day was on time and very tasty! Thank you!
Very safe. Enjoyed our stay and received great service. The accomodation was lovely and we will definitely return.
The only shortcoming was that there is no DStv. I was in room 6 and unfortunately the room has no balcony or view. Furthermore, the daily breakfast was delicious and filling. The owner and staff are very helpful and friendly.
