The main, second and third bedrooms each have a double bed and each room features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. There is another sleeping area that has 2 single beds. All linen and towels are supplied. The well-equipped kitchen contains a fridge, a microwave, an oven with a gas stove, and other appliances to use. On the top floor, there is an entertainment area with a pool table and a table tennis table.
The lower level of the lodge opens onto a private deck with an 8-seater round breakfast table. The swimming pool can also be accessed from the deck. At the entertainment area, you will find the boma and a braai pit, and another braai facility in the big entertainment lapa for guests to use. This area leads to a smaller lapa, which also boasts an outdoor toilet, as well as a small fenced splash pool. Thatched covered parking is available.

94 guests' feedbackWe had an amazing time. Mabalingwe Itaga 619 is a lovely place, it was a home away from home. The house and entertainment areas were very spacious, very clean and it had everything you needed. I would definitely go there again.
It is a very big place. Tidy. Nice to visit and the pool was nice to cool off. There are many things to do and a weekend is too little time. However, there is no WiFi.
We had a great time at Mabalingwe Itaga 619 - the swimming pools were the main treat of our weekend especially with the heat in the bushveld. Lapa with the built-in braai and sufficient space was a plus.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at Mabalingwe Itaga 619. It offers the peace and quiet of the forest, and the large reception and socializing area makes it perfect for a nice family gathering.

We had a fantastic time at Mabalingwe Itaga 619! We took overseas family with us and they really enjoyed it with the wildlife that came walking up to the house. The house is very nicely laid out and the outside entertainment area and swimming pools were a feast, especially in the December heat! The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly and we really felt at home! We are already planning our next holiday there.
A wonderful area to visit with friends. The hosts were amazing. Even though we had a small issue with the geyser when we arrived, they were so willing to go out of their way to sort it out. I would highly recommend. The service levels were amazing.
It was great. The house was much bigger than anticipated, which was a nice surprise. The jacuzzi was lovely, and a few animals came to visit us.

The lodge was clean and had very impressive entertainment areas and amenaties.
The house needs upkeep, broken railings, broken decking on the side of the house, torn linen, old furniture etc. We spent our weekend waiting at the house for maintenance teams to come and repair the DSTV and leaking basin.
The pools were not working, nor were they clean. The porch is broken, where the children fell. The roof fans are not all working.
Perfectly equipped with nice rooms, a veranda, table tennis and a pool table. Perfectly equipped and the rooms are also very neat and clean. Will go back again as soon as possible. The communication with the host, Walter, was also great, couldn't ask for more.
We had a great time and really enjoyed it, just a shame that the fire caused us to evacuate. Will definitely go again.
Our stay was pleasant. Appreciate Walter checking in frequently to see if all was well, as well as Mieta helping in keeping the place clean.

We as a family had an amazing time. The house was perfect for all our needs. The views especially from the second floor are amazing and the second pool was a family favourite. We were very fortunate to see the elephants right on the doorstep. This was one of the highlights of our weekend. The house is situated in a very quiet area and it feels very private. The cleaning lady Mita was an added bonus and she was also very friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely be back in the future. The pictures do not do justice to the accommodation as there have been major upgrades done on the property. Just as a side note, the house is child friendly, so no need to worry about their safety. Walter is an amazing host and was in contact with us during the stay.
Lovely setup with lots of space. Our family with teenagers and a baby all stayed and enjoyed here peacefully. The pool was a relief in the heat. All negative comments we have are that there are a lot of papers and plastic bottles lying around the house in the field and that the cushions of the outdoor furniture could perhaps be cleaned more often. Furthermore, it was a very comfortable house with everything you need and a beautiful view.
The house was well furnished with everything one needs. It has several reception areas with plenty of space for guests. The pool and hot tub will be great in the summer! Pool is not fenced. House was very clean and tidy. Mabalingwe has nice facilities for children. The restaurant and Kalahari Oasis bar were cozy and good food.

It was a fantastic weekend. The house is beautiful, very clean and very comfortably furnished. The view from the upper veranda is breathtaking. We also had a great time at the boma and pool area. I would definitely recommend Itaga 619.

House is very well-equipped. It is fully serviced. The beds are very comfy. There are a variety of places to eat and to sit. The pool table and table tennis table were are win. The host was attentive and responsive. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing time during our stay here! The unit catered for everyone and had everything we could need in one location. The unit was neat and clean. It does get hot in the house in summer so an aircon would be great but otherwise the two pools outside are perfect for cooling off.

The stay at Itaga 619 was absolutely fantastic, if you want to get away from a hectic city life I would definitely recommend Itaga 619. Well equipped and the boma area, the swimming pool als is out of the books. We would definitely go again, and highly recommend Itaga 619. Very nice time with family. The house is well equipped and well hidden in the woods, but not too far from the nearby restaurant if you get lazy for barbecue!
Your pictures don't do the house justice, was absolutely amazing. The house had everything and was clean and spacious. We got to see buffalos at the waterhole. Bush pigs came at night. This was honestly so good for the soul. Absolutely loved the stay and will recommend to anyone. Mostly certainly will rent again ourselves for at least 4 nights. Thank you, it was really really awesome.
Nice to get out of the city for a bit after the tranquility of the farm.
Had no problem with security, but large locks on doors only give an awkwardness. The pool was not prepared to be enjoyed. The tub was very empty and the pump did not appear to be in working order. Entertainment at Itaga a great asset (tennis table, pool) and really enjoyed it.
New owners very helpful, the water pump broke and it was fixed immediately. Will go again for sure.
The house is very well situated with a lot of wildlife visiting the water hole in front of the house. The new owners are planning general renovations to the house which will be very welcome. It will be nice to visit again once it is done.
The activities for children (pool table, ping pong etc.) are a great way to keep the kids busy! Loved the daily domestic assistance as well - allowed us to really relax and appreciate nature.

Great house for a bush getaway. We stayed for a weekend but could comfortably stay longer. House has good facilities and an entertainment area. The location in Mabalingwe is good too as it is private but is close enough to the main camp.

We had small children with us and there are some beams on the porch above that were loose or missing. Had to put chairs there as kids can fall off there. Since the R500 is required for cleaning the house, it must be added to the advertised price. Other than that the place is 5 star and we would go back anytime.

Luxurious and very well equipped accommodation in a beautiful environment. Many animals visited the property regularly. The maid, Mita, was very friendly and a great help.
Very spacious, fully equipped house. 3 bedrooms with own bathrooms which was very convenient as we were there with friends. Lovely braai and lapa with splash pool. Would gladly recommend. Mita's cleaning service was such a bonus to our stay so that everyone could just relax and enjoy the weekend.

Wonderful accommodation with lovely outside room and private waterhole.
The unit was neat and clean, which is always the most important thing. We had fun socializing and the social areas and rooms are very spacious. We were pampered with the cleaning service every day, so we could just relax. Will definitely stay there again.
We had the best weekend at Mabalingwe and Itaga 19 will definitely see us again.
It's a nice place, me my partner and 2 kids with my 2 brothers and their girlfriends were there. I haven't felt so well rested and at home in a long time and felt like we were in our own home, just in a different place. The forest is beautiful and quiet and I enjoyed every moment. The maid is also very cute, cleans up behind you at every turn and you really don't do anything. You sleep, eat and relax as the rest is done for you. It's a place that I will definitely go to once a month.
We enjoyed it very much. It felt like our own piece of woodland. Nice and private. There were no shortcomings. The pool allowed us to cool off and as a bonus we watched the animals that passed by. Nice break from the city.
The warthogs and guineafowls welcomed us on Friday morning, and stayed in the area until Saturday. The view is beautiful and what made it awesome, was the storms with lightning on the horizon that we enjoyed from the second floor. Our children (7 and 14 years) enjoyed the splash pool even though the water was freezing cold! The rooms are spacious and the house clean. We had a nice stay and I highly recommend it to adults and the kids.

Well equipped and spacious home with a beautiful view of the bushveld. The house needs a bit of an upgrade like the shower heads that are loose, door latches that are broken as well as some of the doors' locks and keys that are broken. The water pressure in the shower isn't right and stops the flow of water from time to time. Despite the above, that can be easily fixed, we tremendously enjoyed our stay.
This was our 7th time visiting here. Already looking forward to the next getaway.

Enjoyed it with family.
My family of 4, along with my sister and her 3 children visiting from Australia, had a wonderful 4 day stay. The house was ideal for us all , we had great evenings at the boma around the fire pit. The kids enjoyed the table tennis and pool table and although the pool was fairly small it was big enough for all of us to cool off in. We had all all the home comforts and Mita ! It was a lovely family reunion and due to the location, my Australian family are going back with many great photos.
Great location conveniently close to Pretoria. Accommodation is spacious and very well equipped. Of course, the optional domestic help made the weekend a nice treat without the dead work. Can recommend Itaga 19 anytime.
The place is wonderful, is completely on its own with all the nature around you as far as you can see, water hole just diagonally from the porch and so few wild animals that use it, giving you the chance to enjoy it up close. If you only go for a weekend then the entertainment area is almost a waste of time because you don't get to it, there are plenty of other things to do. For the enthusiastic rugby and sports lover the limited DSTV will not be your favorite device, but for the nature lover the boma / braai area is very nice, it's spacious and cozy when the fire is burning and the outside toilet is a big plus, and something to experience. Would definitely recommend it. However, watch out for load shedding, because if the power goes out then the water stops (shower / bath / kitchen), so find out, because standing with soap and waiting for water is not too pleasant, but it is an experience. However, it still doesn't change the wonderful visit we had.
Very, very nice accommodation. Nice and secluded from the rest of the resort. Boma and entertainment area were awesome. Will definitely return again in summer.
Big comfortable house, clean and tidy. Housekeeper very helpful. The Lapa is a great asset. Arrangements ahead of time were confirmed in writing regarding keys, directions etc. Efforts were made, eg, grass was cut around the water hole in the field, which made the animals more visible. Big plus, the elephants visited and were right next to the house, what an experience!!! Itaga 19 can be recommended to a group of people at any time.
