The accommodation offers 3 individual luxury suites that are carefully placed to guarantee privacy. Each Suite offers a king-size bed, a well-appointed en-suite bathroom with a bath, a shower and twin washbasins, as well as an outdoor shower. Each suite has a day room with a double bed as well as a tea and coffee station. Each suite opens up onto a large terrace that features a plunge pool, seating and sun loungers, allowing you to retreat and refresh in secluded luxury.
The main thatched building in the camp features a lounge, a communal kitchen and a covered verandah, as well as a plunge pool with panoramic views of the Nhlaralumi River. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering with a gas stove, an oven, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, and a coffee machine. The cosy lounge offers a selection of books and board games. Limited Wi-Fi connectivity is available. There is also a lovely boma fire pit area with seating.
The camp has a low-level electric fence for safety. Safaris are conducted in Machaton Camp’s private 4x4 vehicle. Machaton Camp includes 2 housekeepers, groundsmen and a guide.

- Two extra guests can be accommodated on request- Firewood and ice needs to be supplied by guests. If they do not want to travel with the baggage, they are welcome to order from La Babamba/ Spar or Pick n Pay in Hoedspruit, that deliver to the camp. Deliveries will be kept for the guests if made prior to arrival. If a delivery will be made, Machaton must be informed prior.
- A Timbavati Conservation Fee of R220 per person per day will need to be paid. (2024 rates)(R250pp/pd for 2025)
- Bookings can also be made to include a chef (extra fees will apply).
