The room was clean, tidy and functional. We were kindly received and there was a generator during load shedding.

Customer service was very good and the owner waits at any time of the night to receive you and shows you everything and gives load shedding schedule and makes sure everything is right and you are happy and comfortable. The burnt sneezes in the bed show me that the bed had not been covered after the previous guests. The gate is also not locked and anyone can get in and out.

As a Gautenger it was very strange that they do not lock the entrance gate to the property in the evening, although the lady assured us that it is very secure. Our car was still safe the next morning. They might look into replacing the pillowcases - appeared old and stained.
Spacious self-catering room. Breakfast was only 2 containers of porridge and 2 yogi sips. Not a continental breakfast.
Room was neat and clean. However, vehicle is not closed behind securely locked gates. Gate is pushed open by hand and was open at 05:00 in the morning when I left.

Very friendly service, neat and clean place, affordable and very accommodating - we only got there at half past eleven in the evening and still received friendly service. Your amount even includes a fruit juice, breakfast food, a yogurt which helps a lot if you have to leave very early. Will definitely always use them on my way to Upington.

Had a nice overnight stay at Mag Mar and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the neighbors' dogs kept barking all night, which we are not used to. The owner directed us to a very nice restaurant for dinner. A good option for a one night stay.
Mag Mar Guest House is located in a quiet neighborhood. The owner was very friendly and helpful, even had menus of the surrounding restaurants available. The facilities are extremely neat, we were able to rest wonderfully. As a surprise bonus, someone even washed our vehicles clean, ready for the next part of our journey!

We arrived at Mag Mar at around 14:30, we were home immediately. The amenities were all there. We showered and rested, watched TV and turned on aircon. We cannot think of another guest house that is so well equipped with all amenities. Good job May Mar. We will stay there anytime.

Before we arrived, we already felt welcome. We had a (personal crisis) death in the family and the owner was very helpful and understanding, because we would only be checking in very late in the evening. They were concerned about our well-being and satisfaction all weekend. The place treats you like family, even though we were a large group of people. Very clean and tidy premises and rooms. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
