Magani Ridge is a self-catering house located in Marloth Park, a 3,000-hectare wildlife conservancy and holiday town situated on the southern border of the Kruger National Park, between Malelane and Komatipoort in Mpumalanga. It is a popular stopover for tourists traveling to the Kruger National Park, Swaziland, and Mozambique, offering a chance to spot four of the renowned Big Five.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is able to accommodate 6 people. The main bedroom has a double bed and an open bath and toilet. The second and third bedrooms are each fitted with 2 three-quarter beds and share a separate bathroom fitted with a shower. Linen and bath towels are provided. Great over! Enjoy the new extension of the outdoor seating, and also safe and comfortable to photograph animals, the pool always a plus!

We enjoyed it very much, it was very relaxing. The air-conditioning and pool were amazing in that heat.
The house needs some attention. Curtains are old and dirty, broken window in the kitchen, built-in braai is in very poor condition and cannot be used. Outside the kitchen, a solid door is needed that can close, instead of a security gate so you don't have to pack away all the food items and kitchen all the time. And to keep the monkeys out. The shower floor is very slippery when you shower, and had to use a bathroom mat in the shower to stand up so you don't slip and fall. The house's ceilings also need a good cleaning. Wooden floors, deck area and wooden arrangements need sanding and need to be re-varnished.
The kitchen outside in winter is a challenge without an oven. The sugar cane trucks day and night were disturbing. The bats in the roof are noisy.
We were still very impressed with the outdoor kitchen. A small suggestion from my side would be to put a little more shade over the pool, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed it!
Great place. Comfy, with all you may require. Aircon went down, but the owners came right away to fix it. Highly appreciated. Peaceful and quiet.
We had a really nice stay. We only had a problem the first 2 days of our stay with the power due to the overload on Marloth Park's mains. The house was neat and clean upon our arrival.
If one wants to relax and get away from the stress, this is the place to do it.
This is our 2nd time at Magani Ridge. It was a great stay again. The pool was heaven after a day in the park, and all the animals that came to visit were a bonus. We could hear the Fish Eagles calling in the late afternoon. Just a heads up, the monkeys are a problem. We know not to leave anything out (food, etc.), but they managed to get into the kitchen somehow. Otherwise, we had a great stay and we will be back.

Lovely place to stay for younger people. Having the kitchen outside was rather odd. Which made things difficult for my elderly mum (82) who was unable to use the kitchen unless I opened up for her. Also, we had a large ant problem in the kitchen.

It was quietly located in the woods and we had a great time relaxing. The monkeys were just a bit troublesome and maroleas falling on the roof. The little pond also a bit dirty and the swing was broken. The place needs some renovation.
At Magani it feels like you are camping, because you feel so part of the forest, but with all the luxuries such as a hot shower and an aircon! We also have a son in a wheelchair and the house with his 'disaster' was an absolute bonus! We have now found our ideal place to stay for a Wildtuin holiday!

It was just amazing to be so secluded with no other houses visible. We had buck, warthog and baboons come and visit us. We totally enjoyed our stay!

Thank you Michelle we truly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Magani Ridge. The house is comfortable and very clean and tidy indeed. We did not want or need for anything. The pool was a blessing in the sweltering hot weather and we had plenty of animals come and visit us during the day and in the evenings. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to anyone for a relaxing break away from the city.

The place was very clean compliments to Rina. Michelle is a fantastic host even though she lives far away. Magani Ridge was a pleasant surprise. We were totally on our own no one except animals to disturb us and we were blessed to have them all around the whole weekend. Cannot wait for our next visit to Magani Ridge.
Hand fed the kudu and zebra, met the warthog family, visited by the monkeys, spied on by the baboon, said hi to the ostriches, marvelled at the giraffes and gazed at the impala, all from the comfort of our private pool. What a fantastic week thank you Michelle and Rina.

A very good and well equipped house with excellent facilities, very good location and offers the quiet we were looking for. The house was beautifully clean and the pool was wonderful in the heat of the Lowveld. We will definitely visit again.
It was a bit "unnerving" when we were on our way and I didn't know which gate to enter, and I had to let the people know when we were at the gate (which gate) and they would take us "somewhere " get to hand over the keys - the process was very "blind" which I feel could have been avoided from the start - people tell from the start which gate to enter, where to be and what time, and where exactly is someone going to get them to hand over the keys. It makes planning a little better and puts people a little more at ease. The only other issue was the little electricity meter that beeped very loudly every 20 seconds in the master bedroom - we didn't know what to do - maybe there could be pre-charged power to avoid this? Furthermore, everything was 100%, we really enjoyed the outside kitchen, as well as the swimming pool, we will definitely visit again for the evenings!

We had a great time staying quietly in the woods without all kinds of city noise. The animals such as ostriches, ibex, warthogs and kudus came to say hello. Even a large group of mouse dogs. On the last day, the monkeys also came to show their eyes, but luckily they didn't bother. It was very nice to be able to visit the Wildtuin as well. We will visit again.
To get the keys I first had to call Rina (phone off) then I called Michelle who then gave me her son's number, who was also out of town and then gave me his father's number. He then found us at home. We were asked where we were, and when I replied that GPS said we were 1 min from destination, I was inappropriately told not how far I was - but where I was! There were only 2 towels and we were 2 adults and 3 children. The beds were clean but apart from that place was dusty and dirty inside. The pool was grass green within 1 day. There was no effort to do anything. The aircon unit in the living room leaked so much water that you couldn't use it. Cushions of outside area sofas are so dirty. We saw all the animals, fed kudu with apple, gave snacks of yogurt, lots of warthogs etc. The braai area and kitchen work well. Otherwise we slept and stayed well. If everything is maintained it will be good value for money. And better attention should be paid to welcome etc.
Awesome with the animals you can see all the time. It's just too hot for me in December, but I would very much like to go again in the winter.
This was my second visit to Magani Ridge. It was fantastic again. Quiet atmosphere, stunning forest view, animals passing by, night sounds and very comfortable beds. The extras at Magani Ridge are more than necessary and everything is in top condition. It's excellent for single travelers or a family. Only the best. Will go back again.
I would recommend Magani Ridge to any person who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's very neat, safe and well equipped. I do only have a suggestion that there might be a carport.
Privately located, very neat and clean with enough sleeping space for 6 people. Nice little swimming pool and delicious braai area. The only problem we experienced was that the temperature of the hot water was not right. It doesn't have the geyser doesn't regulate the heat properly and was hot then freezing cold and the water runs out of the bath very slowly. Apart from the geyser it was a lovely place to stay and we will certainly use the accommodation again in the future.
Magani Ridge has everything and more that you need to comfortably rest in the open nature. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and facilities they offer there. Will definitely stay there again.
If you are looking for quality family time Magani Ridge is just the place the porch and kitchen is an absolute winner where everyone can hang out and enjoy the wonderful nature. Everything was clean and we were kindly received. So also very close to the Kruger National Park if you want to visit it. Magani Ridge is a place where you can relax and rest your soul I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the city or busy life our family will definitely visit Magani Ridge again.
Top notch beds, linen, crockery, etc. I will recommend it anytime. And the house is wheelchair-friendly. It is a quiet panhandle yard. Very comfortable for up to 6 people. Again 10 out of 10!
Especially neat and comfortable. Veranda and kitchen the best. Price was fair and affordable. I hope to go back there. The only thing I didn't like was the shower, could get it to the right setting, either boiling or icy. But I managed. Rina and her family were very pleasant and always helpful.

What a lovely place to get away from the busy city life! The owners/supervisor made sure that everything that guests need are there. The house is way bigger than the photos. I will just suggest that they provide a covered or shade parking spot for the cars and the make the kitchen baboon proof. I will highly recommend Magani Ridge.

Was just wonderful to experience the wildlife around the house. The only problem was that you can only drive in and out through the gates. Hope they can address that in the future.
