Our stay was great. We were on a business trip. Leon, the owner, arranged for our truck with a trailer and LDV with a trailer to be parked on his premises, so security was sorted.

The accommodation is close to everything in a quiet neighborhood which makes it ideal. Prices are market related and was conveniently located for our school reunion which was only one km away. It is easily accessible from the main routes without having to drive through the city center. Owner is friendly and lives on the premises which makes him easily available in case a problem should arise.
We were two mothers whose children went to play netball in Pietersburg. Good and safe accommodation, and more than adequate for a night's sleep. Will definitely stay there again. They also provide enough for during load shedding. Thanks Leon, see you again!

Leon Oosthuizen, from Magnolia Gaste Eenheid, made us, a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, feel right at home by pointing out the braai area and offering extra freezer space, if needed, seeing as we came to shop stayed before the Christmas week and far. He also took time to point out restaurants, movies and different shopping centers to us, because we were not familiar with Polokwane. We had a really lovely stay. The housing unit caters for all your needs and more. The facilities were very nice, clean and tidy. The guest house has secure parking and is very centrally and safely located. Thank you very much for the extra treat with biscuits, coffee, tea and sugar. We will definitely want to use Magnolia Guesthouse again!

We were not put in our booked room (apparently there was a problem with the room) but in a room (in Leon's own words not one of their better rooms) that was not even cleaned properly for our arrival , the bin was still full of rubbish, freezer compartment of fridge dirty and bloody. Floors were not swept properly and not washed at all. The stovetop was still dirty and the tablecloth still full of crumbs. We had to fix one of the roof lights ourselves that wouldn't work and we had to call for help to come and fix the television. The hot water was set very low so it was practically lukewarm when it came out of the tap which is horrible on a cold night. There is a bad smell in the bathroom coming from a drain pipe. The room is equipped with pre-paid power and it also goes off early in the morning. We only used lights and the TV for the kids. Leon was full of excuses and put the blame on the previous guests (but I feel cleanliness as well as any technical problems should be fixed beforehand. A place like this should go through each room beforehand with an inspection to make sure everything is ok for their guests). At least he helped to fix the TV and gave us a small discount. I personally will never stay there again.
