We felt at home from the moment we walked in, our hostess welcomed us with open arms. We are a family of 3 and therefore booked both units. Both units are perfectly equipped with everything you could need and even more. Everything has been properly thought of. Unfortunately we only booked for 1 night but we will return for sure.

Very safe, value for money and a 5 minute walk from the high street. You don't have to take anything with you, everything is ready there, which is a pleasure. The fireplaces are winners and kept us nice and warm. Been to the village a few times but nothing comes close to the cleanliness, beauty and value for money. A suggestion might be to put a bigger bed in the room, would be more comfortable.
Place is clean and tidy and has everything one needs and more. 5 minute walk to the main street and centrally located. Perfect we would say. It was damn cold at the weekend, but the fireplaces kept us nice and warm. Maybe just a suggestion to replace the double beds with a bigger bed.

As soon as you arrive you feel welcome and immediately at home. A sparkling clean and tidy living area greets you when the door is opened for you. All the little details immediately amaze me. Everything is explained nicely, how it works and where to find literally every item. True to the saying, here you can find anything from a carbon to a pin. Delicious chocolate treats and tasty coffee with everything needed to make it, even a carton of milk in the fridge door. In these days, one first wonders about the load-shedding schedule, only to be reassured that in this small town people are already one step ahead, self-sufficient with solar panels and pure clean borehole water. Linen and towels crisp. To finish everything perfectly, a beautiful bunch of pink flowers in a vase according to the bed. I dare say, perhaps from the neat garden. The whole setup is neat and clean. It is accompanied by a tour guide. Useful information pieces are neatly grouped together. With her knowledge of every little shop and activity, we were able to make the most of our short time in Dullstroom. Yes, even our tired souls are nourished by the beauty of the surroundings. I would definitely like to visit again. I can recommend the place to anyone.

This little place is amazing! Everything needed and more was made available for our stay of 3 days. Besides being clean and spacious with a beautiful large private braai area, the hosts are amazing, friendly, very kind, and informative. It is quiet and peaceful, a real sanctuary if you need rest. The drinking water is from a borehole which we indulged in as you do not get clean water from taps these days. The rates for what is presented to you are tops. We were walking distance from town and amazing restaurants. The Waffle Co. has the best pizza and Belgian waffles ever! Mayfly has great burgers and chips, and Harry's Pancakes has a great breakfast. There are lots of amazing little shops to visit. No doubt, worth every cent. We will definitely be back, and for anyone wondering about Mahanaim Cottage and the town, all we can say is go there, you will not be disappointed.

The directions to Mahanaim will need to be looked at urgently. The directions are ± 1.5 kilometers from the place on a very bad stretch of dirt road full of holes - if you can call it a road! Further down the street you turn left towards the place - all tarmac! Get the new directions and change them on your web.

The owners go out of their way to accommodate you as a guest and if you ride a motorcycle, you are welcome to park your motorcycle in front of your room where it is safe. You are welcomed with kindness and a bag of chocolates on your pillow. There is enough coffee and biscuits to enjoy a cup more than once. It is quiet and cuddly warm in the room. It is very easy to get to Mahanaim and the directions are correct. There is a fridge and microwave in the room with delicious, fresh, cool water.

We were out during the day and came back at night, to find a nice warm room because Smitie had stoked the little stove. We walked everywhere as it is so close to town.
