Mahudzi Guest House is a tribute to the region and its wildlife heritage so much under threat again today. Mahudzi is the name of one of the great tuskers of the Kruger National Park who lived in the central parts of the park and named after the Mahudzi River north of Letaba. The word Mahudzi is Tsonga and means “Passer-by”. Often seen with other majestic ivory carriers, the fate of this once great elephant is unknown and neither his grave nor tusks have been found.

Mahudzi Guest House is a 4 bedroom, fully serviced guest house, aimed at the holiday family or working group seeking a private and secure setting in the heart of the Lowveld. Amenities include four double en-suite bedrooms each with air-conditioning and DStv and a large and spacious lounge and dining room with unhindered access to the lapa, braai and pool area.

Mahudzi Guest House is located in Phalaborwa, along the main Kruger National Park access road, 3 kilometers from the entrance gate but also within a tranquil setting in central Phalaborwa, close to a variety of amenities and near a host of other facilities and places to see around this very majestic town. Phalaborwa is located in the heart of the Lowveld, and can be reached by scenic routes via Polokwane and Tzaneen in the north or via Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Ohrigstad and through the J.G. Strijdom Tunnel. Daily direct flights are available between O.R. Tambo International Airport and Phalaborwa Airport. Besides Phalaborwa being located on an access gate in the center of the Kruger National Park, other things to see and do in Phalaborwa include the renowned Hans Merensky Golf Course.
